  • I track my walks in MMR, but don't sync with anything. But I have FitBit is synchronized with MFP, and extra step credit is converted to calories here. I hope that makes sense.
  • I've had the Ultra, One, and now Charge HR. I don't notice it counting extra steps with hand movements. Actually, I think I miss steps with it. It doesn't give me steps if I'm pushing a shopping cart with my hand on the bar. I'm learning to steer the cart one handed so my FitBit hand can swing as I walk. If I'm walking…
  • I did the full disconnect and relink as described up thread and it worked! This day's steps showed up, but not any of my steps for the last week. BUT I did get it to work by doing this: - went back each day that I didn't get steps and manually logged a cardio exercise (doesn't matter which one, walking, running, any will…
  • Mine has been a week. I'm going to go ahead and do the full unlinking described above. Nothing to lose at this point.
  • I cube and them pan roast them in coconut oil with salt and pepper. When done I drizzle with EVOO, garlic powder, and sprinkle with parmesan. Delicious. Red potatoes are my favorite.
  • For the last 3 months walking has been my primary source of exercise (I do hop on the elliptical a couple times a month). Prior to this focus on walking I was doing Jillian Michael's type workouts… but I hurt my shoulder and had to stop to heal, hence the walking. But I have continued to lose weight at the same pace.
  • I'm on week 6 of JM's Body Revolution and have experienced something similar. I've lost oodles of inches, one pants size, but "only" five pounds down on the scale.
  • Female. 5'11" I eat an average of 1900-2000 calories a day. I consistently lose 1.5 pounds a week.
  • I'm glad to see this brought up! Counting floors is one of my goals, so I do always keep an eye on it (most flights come from my long walks up many hills). For the last week I've been catching mine counting floors that I did not climb. Today I went upstairs only once (our stairs only go to a bonus room) and my FitBit says…
  • Do you think it would work to put the cauliflower in a juicer to extract the water and then use the shredded cauliflower that is in the pulp reservoir to make the crust? Or would that be too fine of a shred for the "dough"?
  • I washed my FitBit Ultra a couple years ago and they replaced it too! The best customer service ever! Good luck.
  • Progress, about half way (?) there.
  • I always do inside workouts barefoot. As for the tight calves - do more stretching after the workout is over. I love Jillian - biggest fan for real! - but that woman rushes through cool downs. I never feel stretched out enough just following her. I have to stretch, and hold each stretch, for about twice as long as she…
  • 2% milk
  • From what I remember, they are fine to wear while doing strength exercises - like leg lifts or whatever, but should never be used during cardio activities.
  • Not low calorie, per se, but my "on the go" foods are pumpkin seeds, sunflower kernels, and nuts. All have protein and fat, which helps satiate my hunger better than any carby snack. Otherwise I'll also do popcorn, you can get a lot of volume for a relatively low calorie count.
  • Ugh - I wish I could just get up for morning workouts. My kids are super light sleepers (despite noise machines in their rooms) and the moment I start stirring they are awake and all up in my business. I can't workout in front of them because they are crazy distracting and won't stop asking questions "momma, why are you…
  • I was always a normal healthy weight through childhood and as a teen was pretty slim. College started out okay, but at 22 I was married and working full time and finishing up a post-bac degree. To say I was busy and stressed is an understatement. My job kept me pretty active, but I was eating fast food almost exclusively.…
  • Your IMG tags need to be changed to lower case img in order to work! :)
  • I experienced this too, exactly as you described. I let it go on for several months and it got steadily worse over time, though I'd have a good day here and there - often enough that I was able to reassure myself that things were okay. When I eventually went to the doctor, after passing out one morning while packing my…
  • In my case I didn't lose ALL the weight and then gain it back, but I did gain back quite a lot of what I had lost (over 20 pounds) (my ticker used to read 59 pounds lost  ) due to illness. I was rendered basically immobile. I had zero appetite for over a month and barely ate, which was followed by medication that made…
  • My family has gone to Disney World for a week vacation for the last three years. Every time I go I eat anything I want, basically. I really just eat what sounds good, period. I'm not usually a big sweets person, but at Disney I indulge in Mickey Bars and churros and am a sucker for an apple cobbler at the resort snack bar…

  • I love doing cardio. It's easy and brainless, I can zone out to a podcast and just go at it. But I find when I start over-doing cardio (pushing 2 hours a day) that my weightless completely stalls. So besides making sure I get in 10K steps a day - which is comprised mainly of steady activity all day - I shoot to get in a…
  • New Balance Minimus Trail. Two pair. They have changed my life!
  • When I first started my weight loss I signed up with WW. I liked the program. I had immediate success on the program. I only looked elsewhere bc my husband was also interested in doing it, and one WW subscription was expensive enough, two was going to strain our budget. So looking around I found MFP and got my husband set…
  • My weight initially rebounded by half, but then decreased by half again. So I'm overall still 3 pounds down from a week ago. I haven't logged it yet. Wondering how long I should give this before I accept it as a loss and carry on. If I was dehydrated how long should it take for that to smooth out? I drink a gallon of water…
  • This is my experience also. I am on prescription Vitamin D3, for what it's worth. After a period of taking 5,ooo IUI a day for a month (to pull me out of the deficiency pit) I am on 12,000 a week for maintenance. I begin feeling very rundown and just "off" if I slack off on taking it.
  • Before. I guzzle tons of water when I workout (like 2-3 liters).
  • Can you eat breakfast in the morning before you take your meds for the day? My son takes Focalin XR and it kil//ls his appetite within 10 minutes of taking it. He eats breakfast beforehand or he can't/won't eat until much later in the day.
