When I get stuck, I increase caloric intake to what I should eat in a day for 3-5 days while continuing to exercise and drink water. then I go back to 1200 calories - then I start losing again. Works every time for me.

I have the same problem - and what's worse, I cannot even do 1 lb weights or any exercises to bulk up the part that I can because of a screwed up nerve in my neck/shoulder caused by neck surgery 3 years ago.

I'm in - I want to lose 15 pounds my Christmas :) So far I've lost 55.5 and that's all I have left to meet my second goal.

I weigh and measure and count practically everything I eat. Not because I enjoy it or that I'm OCD. My goal is to be healthy and to lose the extra poundage and documenting every single thing I eat EXACTLY, I know not only how many calories but what nutrients I'm still needing...protein, iron, calcium, etc. Or if I'm…

I make about a teaspoon ranch dressing dry mix in a small tub of greek yogurt for my husband to eat as a veggie dip. Way healthier than ranch dressing.

Oatmeal and almonds are fat burning foods. I have actually eaten oatmeal at 2 meals in a day for about a week and lost 6 pounds that week :)

Looks delicious. But I have NO clue what sriracha sauce is.

I have lost 52# - while my pants size has subsided, I can't get rid of the upper body and protruding stomach!!!! I still wear a lot of the blouses I wore at 221. I look in the mirror and while I do see progress and have lots more energy and stamina and a lot less pain, I tend to zero on the parts that aren't going away. So…

Great Job! I know you feel better physically, mentally and emotionally. Keep up the good work!

I guessed my size exactly - I do have hourglass figure but my stomach protrudes (family genetics). What does one do with huge arms and all that flabbly skin? All the fashions have way too short of sleeves for me.

AWESOME WEIGHT LOSS. You surely don't have a job and still get in that much exercise do you? Is there a particular reason you're doing so much exercise?

Depends on how quickly you want to lose and if you're able to maintain without feeling starved. 1200 a day with fruit, veggies & protein is adequate and with all you're doing you should lose quickly.

Hey, we all need motivation and help. Shall we motivate and help each other? I have been on a weight management program since April 1st and to date have lost just over 44 pounds. I am on month 4 and am struggling to want to keep going even though it has helped with my pain issues and increased my energy and optimism. I…

Motivation comes from the small victories for me - esp. in overcoming emotional eating. Today was one of those days....so I'll share.....I generally don't have problems with Monday but today was an exception - but on a good note, I did NOT give in to my cravings for food as a means to de-stress and to self-medicate. It…

I have the guilt to - but if I squelch it and have the ice cream or whatever, then I can't STOP

I can relate to the clothes thing I get tired of having to defend my choice to eat healthy and lose weight by friends who want me to eat with them I had to have breast reduction surgery so the more boob that goes - the happier my neck and shoulders are - I had big boobs my whole life and never understood why anyone would…

I use the HMR scale - but I ride inside on a stationary bike not outside - I was always told in Weight Mgmt Classes to guess high on calories and low on exercise so that's what I've done. Not much of an answer but it's all I have

Hi JMM1996 - I am new too! And other than an 1.25" difference in height, we're at almost the same place. I feel 130-135 is too hard to maintain and after losing the same 50-60# a number of times and ending up bigger every time, I want to be realistic about what I can maintain. My current goal is 155-160. I started my…

I just joined today - I understand both the need for encouragement and friends. Are you trying to lose weight or just maintain? What are you motivators?
