Love the jacket and love the inspirational story. ☺

Yeah. I used to think 5 (of my goal loss of 15lbs) would be noticed by everyone, but I'm down about 8 and haven't heard a thing. I've noticed some differences, and I had a coworker say how I was glowing... And it's all headed in the right direction, and that's what matters.

Love this. Thanks for sharing it.

I love my fitbit flex. I am not into hardcore training (where GPS or heart rate might matter) but I like having a little more info on my calorie burn, because I have very little flexibility as a shorter middle aged woman. 100 cals this way or that matters!

Wow, fabulous. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful!

You should be proud! You look great. As someone the same height with roughly the same starting weight and goal (although a bit older than you) I'm very impressed and inspired.

Thanks @superjames2684 !

So true.

I used to be the queen of unhealthy snacks at work. I now plan ahead, and when my appetite screams chips, I reach for the seed crackers or the fruit I bring with me. It's not always easy though, but it helps to remind myself of the results I've seen and the fact that I want more progress. I even take a few minutes out of…

Excited to try this. Perhaps it will help me stay on track during my two week vacation in Europe... :) Don't worry @tkiefe01 , I went up to 142 before I started coming down... Part of that wss just figuring out how to count calories right, and also getting to know what works for my own body. You'll do great! SW:140lbs…

I was feeling really bummed out myself today. About a month of good progress, down over 5lbs ...And I have been fretting over the fact that I couldn't or wouldn't stop eating at dinner. Mostly healthy food mind you, but bothered that I am still not in the slightest hungry by bed. But let's agree that tomorrow is another…

Such great stories! I am 5'2" and down about 5lbs since I started logging my food and walking to work... About a month ago. Still another 10 or so to go. I do think it's a bit harder for us shorties, especially those of us over, 50! But week get there!

Great idea. I sent you a request...

Hi there. The food logging is really interesting and an eye opener I find. And being able to track progress is fun too. Welcome to MFP.

Hi there. I am trying to lose about that. I've managed 5 in the last few weeks... Slow and steady. I was having trouble staying motivated today because it was feeling tooooooo slow.

I am awestruck. You rock. Thanks for sharing your story.

The skim milk latte I've switched to in the morning saves me 50 calories, and tastes every bit as good, with all the protein. Logging every morsel, ideally right after (or before) eating it. A biggie - walking to work.

Seed crackers with tzadziki (treat: add crumbled bacon pieces or sun dried tomatoes). Homemade bean dip with corn chips and veggies. Haven't done this for a while but I love smoked oysters (bring a can and spread them on whole grain/seed crackers.)

I am still new to this (just rejoined in earnest after dabbling a couple years ago) and the pounds aren't really melting off. But I feel better and better every day when I walk to work. And I don't feel like a slave to my cravings. I love reading all your stories. You are such an inspiration to keep at it!
