My picture was taken by my wife on recent cruise on Queen Elizabeth. I am really proud of it, and of her. We have both been on the MFP journey together and have both lost in excess of 40lbs.

Might I suggest conducting an experiment. Get a known weight, say some dumbells or something that you know the weight of. Weight it on your scale before you weigh yourself. If there is an intermittent error you can make adjustments. It might be your scales are not reading consistently.

My fitness journey started with a commitment to run the Great South Run in October in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support, before then I couldnt run a bath with puffing and panting!! I have a Justgiving page and can give the details if anyone wants them.

You dont have to sweat to lose weight!! What you do have to do is get your heart rate up to somewhere near the rate for 'fat burn'. If you google cardio fat burn and look at a site that calculates your optimum heart rate for fat burn, you can then choose an excercise that helps you achieve it. It is quite possible you will…

Here is your after picture!!

the more active you tell the system you are, the less calories it wil assign you!! If you bring down your activity level it will give you a bigger calorie goal. Then you can choose either to eat the extra allowance or not. Also, have you set a realistic weekly weight loss goal? Add me if i can be of any further help.

what stroke did you do? if it was mixed then i would split the difference.

I just read an article in this months running magazine and it says that unless you are doing a half marathon or + then there is no need to 'fuel up' before the run. A normal meal the evening before a morning run will be fine.

it depens on man or woman, height, weight and excercise. Keep up the good work!

, Me too, I actually put a 10kg weight on the scales at the gym and it came out at 11.7kg!!! I dont suppose the wii board is the most accurate scale but I agree its consistency and using the same scale, same time, same day, same clothes.

I'm a 5mph / 12 min per mile jogger, its a good speed for me to build up my stamina for a 10 mile Great South Run in October

the first few, and the last few are always the most difficult, a goal is a goal and you will feel a thousand times better for achieving it. It wouldnt be ab achievement if it were easy. Keep going, well done so far, and keep smiling!!
