Those mags will say anything to sell their crap to people that don't understand how to lose weight. I used to buy into that stuff, and I lost all my weight "eating clean" and cutting out bread and pasta and all of that... Guess what...I gained it all back. it's not sustainable.

Nope, its all junk. Morning-Donut Snack-Share a bag of chips with my boyfriend Lunch-Some sort of Fast Food meal Supper-Going out to eat Its' been working for me though
-
Because in most diet books, and experts say that you should only eat "lean protein". A lot of people consider Chicken Breast way healthier then Chicken thighs.
-
Most food is processed is what I'm trying to get too. There's no way your eating 100% clean.
-
Well good for you. Inless your just eating Fruits and Veggies you don't eat 100% clean.
-
Your calling my arrogant? is that a joke? You don't even know me. Don't tell me you eat completely clean. No one does.
-
You are not eating enough. Also add more protein to your diet.

Thanks for the answers guys!

Well my goal is weight loss but I want a toned body, I dont want to end up skinny fat

All very good questions. All restaurant foods are processed and high in sodium, even the salads, at some restaurants the salads are even worse then having a burger. How do you avoid that?
-
More power to you, but I could never go without eating Pasta or an occasional fast food meal. I would eventually just end up binging. Like I said, I speak from experience, I gained back all the weight I lost because I didn't allow myself to eat what I wanted to eat when I wanted to eat it. I'm Italian, and when I lived at…

Nothing we eat is 100% natural. I speak from experience, you cant deprive yourself of the foods you love to eat, you will just end up gaining the weight back. Your telling me you don't have a plate of Pasta, or go out to Mcdonalds and have a burger once and awhile. Or a great example, this has been a tradition for me and…

Thanks for your insight! I appreciate it.

Such a relief to know I can actually achieve a flat stomach and still enjoy a freakin burger.
-
I am working on lowering my bf% with strength training and lifting as well as cardio. So I am hoping to see some flat abs LOL. But the reason I asked this question is because this girl at my work told me I wont ever see flat abs if I continue to eat burgers, pasta and "white" flours. So I got worried. I also see people on…

It's such a relief to see I'm not the only one that doesn't eat clean. So as long as I'm in a deficit, I will lose weight? Ive had people tell me if I don't eat clean, I wont get a flat stomach with definition, is that true?
-
So what did you mostly eat when trying to lose weight? Sometimes I just don't have time to cook and I will eat a Smart One, people say they aren't that healthy but I don't go over in my Macros or Calories, so I don't see them as that bad, but I could be wrong.
-
Well, what's your definition of clean?

A cheat day works for me. I always lose weight after a cheat day. But I will be honest on how I do it, I save up my calories during the week. I will eat 1200 calories during the week and on my cheat day I will GO NUTS, I probably well over 3000 calories. I do not log on cheat days, I enjoy myself and take a break from this…

Thanks for all your help! Appreciate it.

I guess my question is, can I continue to have a cheat day and still lose weight? like when I'm about 5 pounds away from my goal, should I stop the cheat day? Sorry for the confusion, like I said, I'm confused myself. I have lost weight before, I went from like 140 to 105, and then I gained it all back because I lost it…
-
So far I have lost the weight doing this method. My big thing is, I'm not willing to give up my cheat day, like I said in the post I just wrote, it keeps me sane.
-
My cheat day is normally Saturday. I will literally eat junk all day, I'm talking McDonalds for lunch and going out for dinner to a restaurant. It works for me, whenever I weigh myself after a cheat day, I've lose weight. The next day, I go back to normal, I don't have a problem with my cheat day lasting more then one day.…
-
Well thanks for the answers guys.
-
That's exactly the answer I was looking for, I wanted to know if I will still lose weight doing this.
-
So Jacksonpt, what do you suggest I do. Should I change my goals to 0.5 pounds a week and change my settings to lightly active or do you suggest something else?
-
Okay, I want to go with MFP, seems like the easier option so what do I set my calories to then? What's your suggestion? Should I keep it at 1600, and keep doing what I'm doing (that includes the 3500 cheat days) or adjust?
-
1000 a day? I burn around 202 calories a day. When I said 1000, I thought you meant for the week.
-
Even if I'm not lightly active? I have an office job where I get up to go to the printer pretty often, I go home, workout, and then sit down and relax
-
Yeah sorry, I think I mixed this up, my TDEE is actually 2200 calories but according to "Scooby Calculator" I should be eating about 1600 calories at a 25% reduction. I just went to the website and saw that I messed up, I thought TDEE meant the calories I need to lose. Your probably so annoyed with me LOL
