  • Hello all! I am 30, and am making it my goal this year to become the me I haven't ever really been. I started the year out weighing 288. I am down to 250 now, and am really working hard at losing. My husband and I have scheduled a cruise vacation in September and I would absolutely love to be down another 30 pounds. I am…
  • It is amazing how quickly you can feel leaner and stronger after doing it for a short while. I am really happy that I picked this back up, and am exicted to see our results in the end!
  • Sounds like a similiar story. I started my health-movement in January and lost 30 pounds in the first 3 months. For the past two months, it seems like no matter what I do, getting the scale down is near impossible. I am noticing it in my clothes as well, and am getting lots of compliments about how great I look. But still…
  • Be careful that you aren't extending your legs too low. I know that if I don't pay attention to the height of my legs, it will put a lot of pressure on my lower back. The higher you keep your legs the less the pressure. Ease your abs into it. As they get stronger, you can dip them down a little further. Also, on the…
  • Don't be sad...getting yourself back to tip-top shape is important. Walking, elliptical, cycling and pilates can all prep you for when you are fully back on your feet. Actually, I think it is great if you do pilates and keep in touch with the group. I would love to see just how far pilates would get you in comparison. If…
  • I have two of them - 1 for pilates and the other for hip hop dance or something. Pilates - I have started using the pilates one as an add-on to other workouts. You can easily do a few of htem and get a complete workout, but each 10 minute workout in the pilates video is challenging. Believe it or not I have been doing the…
  • Day 2 done. Surprisingly, I didn't find myself dreading any parts of the video. I am really hoping to keep moving forward with this. I am stuck in spot for not losing pounds--hopefully I can at least lose the inches. Here are my measurements as of yesterday: CW: 255 Waist: 46in HIps: 54in Biceps: 17in Things: 30in Keep…
  • I dusted off the old dvd case this weekend. We'll get to shredding it later this evening. Good luck everyone!
  • I would definetly not count coffee. However, when I was pregnant and was reading how to increase my water intake, the books I read said to count UNSWEETENED tea. So, I count it as water. I think counting occassionaly is fine. But I wouldn't say make it a regular practice to replace tea with water.

  • I am right there with you. Exactly 30 pounds, almost 3 months. I am still working out and monitoring my diet, but not nearly as diligent as before. There are two things that have got me more motivated this week. 1. I have taken to liking jogging, so I have challenged myself to become a "runner". I have a new challenge--a 5…
  • Keep with it - don't let the scale's numbers discourage you. Taking measurements is a great way to also guage your success. I won't lie that seeing the numbers go down on the scale is motivating; but when I actually measured myself this past week and realized that I had lost 4 inches around my hips it all hit home. Seeing…
  • This week has been just awful for me. I need to get back on the ball. Still managed to lose a few, but not sure how. Checking in at 262.0
  • Bad week...but still didn't gain. 264.8
  • wieght is 265.4; down 3 pounds from last week!
  • Thank you, blueeyeddragon2 for putting together the chart! Congratulations to all you losers! =) The progress of the group is coming along nicely. I can't wait to see how the next month comes along. Forgive me as I have to take a moment here for myself....I am really happy to see my name in the top 10 this month. I joined…
  • CW: 268.4. Was a little lazy in my attitude this week. The good thing is that I know exactly where I shorted myself this week. Here's to a better next week!
  • thank you so much for putting together the chart. If you EVER need a break from working the chart, let me know and I can post the next weeks for you! Don't feel like you have to do all of this yourself!
  • Looks like everyone is doing well so far! mabrown66--congrats on the 4.6lbs lost! I, too, thought about breaking out the 30DS this week and getting back into it. We recently have discovered that "on demand" tv gives us free workout shows. So, I am excited to give those a look and see if I can't ramp up my routine this week…
  • Weigh in for 2/21 - 269.6 Good bye 4 pounds...can't say that you will be missed! HAHAHA
  • Congrats on deciding to become a stay at home mom! There is so much you will gain from being at home with your child--but don't let weight be one of them. Being a "stay at home" mom is a job...it is work, so treat it as such. Find yourself a new routine/schedule that will provide you just as much "me" time as "mom" time.…
  • I most definetly log my weekends, but it is to make certain that I keep on track. I have always been a "my-diet-starts-on-Monday" sort of person. I log in on weekends to make certain I don't fall into that attitude again.
  • Congrats, that's great! I did 30-day shred for a little while and then "fell" off the wagon with it. I am doing plenty of other programs, but I am getting bored again. Thanks for reminding me how great 30DS is. I think I'll do it tonight!
  • Thanks for posting the list! Great job everyone.
  • Great job!
  • Week 1: 280 lbs Week 2: 273.6 lbs YAY ME!!! With this being my first week of truly tracking every flavor morsel I ate or drank, I was amazed with how decently healthy my normal food choices are. I think it is double amazing to realize that I "taste" alot when I am cooking. I have had to slap my hands so many…
  • Congratulations! 20 pounds is no small feat! I honestly had never really thought about truly measuring my success through pictures. I think I am going to take a few snapshot now...Thank you for sharing!
  • Weekends aren't that difficult for me. I accept the fact that if I go crazy on the weekend with eating, I need to match it with crazy workouts. I actually find that my temptations peak more come Wednesday or Thursday when I am tired from long days. It is definetly way too easy for me to make the decision that we go out to…
  • Feb 7th SW 278 :(
  • Please count me in! I just found MFP and am less than 24-hours new to it. Nothing like a little friendly competition to get it kick started. Thanks!
