  • I've been having this exact same problem! I never used to get light headed and didn't understand how people could faint at all, it just didn't happen. Since I've been "healthy weight", when I stand up sometimes everything starts going black like "tunnel vision", I start losing the will to stay awake then after a few…
  • I would not worry about it, just don't go eating lots of stuff on holiday, continue your counting when you get home and maybe don't look at the scales for a few weeks when you get back ;)
  • I tried herbalife once but I found I much prefer to just eat. Shakes are fine but I usually felt hungry even after drinking them so ended up having a meal AND a shake, which just added more calories.
  • I lost a little over 70lbs, I was just consistent in being in a calorie deficit, and I logged in every day and kept my diary updated. I also get constantly hungry on some days, I think the trick is to occupy yourself and you won't even think about food.
  • As long as you're near your calorie goal it doesn't really matter, eat what you want, when you want ;)
  • You should just eat them :P No but don't eat them, I'm just a bad influence XD You know you'll feel worse after eating them, yet you still want them, I know how it is man. Thankfully I'm on maintenance at the moment so I have a lot more free play with my calories, it's great ;)

  • I'd say you're at a pretty good point there, don't know about percentage but you can see your abs. If you wanted to make them even more visible then you could keep your deficit and do some strength training, if you wanted to grow and get bigger muscles then a 200-300 calorie surplus over maintenance is good along with…
  • Maybe try planning your meals a day ahead and stick to that, make sure to add in a snack so that you're not depriving yourself. It sounds like you're making life difficult for yourself by restricting your diet, unless you have a medical reason to eat paleo, don't worry about it so much, all you need to worry about right…
  • Everyone's going to give you a different number, nobody really has a definite answer but as long as your protein is anywhere from 25-40% of your diet I'm sure you'll be fine.
  • I'm feeling the same thing at the moment, my food intake has been pretty bad, today especially with all my snacking. I've still managed to keep myself at around maintenance and still log everything, only a month left of uni so things will be good again soon :) As for mitigating it, I'm trying to plan my food a day in…
  • I was cycling at nearly 17 stone, pretty sure you'll be fine.
  • I recently started getting into lifting weights, it's hard to build muscle on a deficit so the goal is mainly to keep as much muscle mass as possible whilst losing fat. The earlier you start lifting weights, the more muscle you'll end up keeping, and you'll look better faster. Something else with lifting weights is that…
  • if it's for burning fat then yes, in all exercises a calorie is a calorie. However, depending on which exercise you do, you're only targeting a certain number of muscle groups, if you want to build/keep muscle then different exercises are used for different muscles.
  • at 1500 a day I'd eat them back, the general rule as far as I've seen is as long as you're over 1200 it's up to you really.
  • I use optimum health, it's really cheap here in the UK, (£20 for 2.25KG), Tastes great (Strawberry), not sure if you'll get it in the US.
  • 1st of all, Welcome to MFP. I'm sure you made an account here because you want to change, Just like I did. When I was at my highest weight from age 18-21 (107kg) I also felt like you do, but then I realised that I didn't need to feel that way. The only thing stopping you from doing something is yourself, whether you are…
  • I got fat through comfort eating, as a kid and an adult, and didn't care enough to stop until recently, when I thought to myself "What am I doing?". Was introduced to MFP through my mum (her friend told her about it) and it made it a whole lot easier for me to lose weight, I always thought "I wish there was an online…

  • I'm sure you've heard this but If you're doing a lot of exercise your body can store more water leading to a higher scale value. I can't see your diary but as long as you're logging ACCURATELY and eating back most of your exercise calories and you're not starving yourself the weight will drop. I'm losing weight mainly…
  • Eating the fruit would be a good option rather than drinking it. I too don't like drinking water but I now drink lots of non sugar diluting juice, only 4 calories per cup so I don't even bother counting it. For extra protein I usually take a supplement everyday (Whey) but there is Soy Protein powder you can buy and if you…
  • As far as I can see you aren't really eating much Smoothie for breakfast, soup for lunch e.t.c. Try eating toast in the mornings, toast with honey or jam has far less calories than a smoothie and you'll feel like you've eaten something. Drink plenty of water, or low cal diluting juice along with the toast and throughout…
  • Dust anyone? bit of dust? In all seriousness, I'm sure I read that celery takes more calories to consume than it provides, so if you can "stomach it" so to speak, then I guess snack on that.
  • Hey! I'm Chris, 21 from the UK. I'm mainly a PC gamer but play the exclusives on consoles or if I can't want for them on PC (i.e GTA5) I don't usually play online games but I occasionally play War Thunder or LoL. Feel Free to add me if you want to play sometime or just looking for a friend.
  • Could be the muscles swelling? (I don't actually know just a thought)
  • Ate 3,800 last week full of KFC, chocolate eclairs and cakes, put on 0.4lbs and lost a weeks worth of effort for what I considered a "Cheat day" Cheat days from now on will be maintenance calories XD
  • I'm not quite at my goal but after losing 20+lbs I recently started going swimming again which I put off before because of my weight. I haven't bought any new clothes yet as all mine still fit but It's nice knowing that I won't have to worry about if they will be too small for me the next time I put them on, and if they…
  • The girls around you must look like stick insects :P The ONLY reason you should lose weight is for you and you alone, if you can seriously look in the mirror and think you look fat, go and see an eating disorder specialist now, before it's too late.
