OK...from what I understand, and so far works, is if you want to drop X amount...you eat this much...then if you workout, that's extra calories you could eat. It's kind of like WW from my expierience (and I've done WW) I've been ill for the last few days and can't workout (working out is my VERY strong suit)....so I stay…

I agree that this is an awesome site! My brother is a personal trainer, and I gave him the link to give to his clients!!:drinker: And I love the smaller community feel. Also, being able to share my food inputs with the community and vice versa! I just had to log 2 girl scout cookies :blushing: and it was IN HERE! I didn't…

Thanks all! I'm feeling OK, calories are still OK, but I need to have dinner still. Maybe I"ll have the chicken soup and crackers while everyone else has something a little more hearty. It's a head, itchy throat/cough kind of ickiness. So I don't think heavy breathing would be so great. It's a nice day here, maybe a walk…

I'm feeling a bit under the weather...enough to not exercise but my appitite is mostly OK. Do you just forget about it, and take care of yourself w/out worrying about calories (too much). Or do you try to motor through, workout, and/or stick to your diet calories? I haven't worked out since I ran the Dash on Sunday...it's…

I live in Seattle...it ALWAYS rains here   Thanks for the well wishes. I wish I could say I'm going to do well...but honestly, I'm not. With all the weight I've gained this year, my time just isn't going to be very good. That's OK though, b.c. DH and I do this run every year, and now I have a new goal for next…

are REALLY HARD days. I'm taking off today and tomorrow b.c. on Sunday I'm running a 5k...and at 1400cals...I just can't subsist on that with the foods I *choose* to eat. Which leads me to the obvious conclusion...I need to change the types of foods I eat :grumble:  I KNOW I do. I just didn't realize how…

I have good luck with Champion bras. I'm a 36DDDD:grumble: and they work fine for me. Also, there's a bra...I saw it at Paiva, Oprah loves it?? I for the life of me can't remember the name of it but it has TONS of hook and eye closures on the front. I couldn't bother with THAT much trouble every single day, so I passed.

I DVR some of their yoga shows so I can get some extra flexibility work in. Other than that, I can't workout at home...I keep seeing things that need to be cleaned/picked up etc

Seriously. I decided to have a small one...nonfat, no whip. I don't like Starbucks really except for that and their holiday peppermint mocha. Anyway...dutifully plug it into my journal. 270 calories:grumble: I knew I'd be taking a bit of a hit (I generally don't even drink lattes, but I had a gift card from work). GAH!! I…

Maybe I misunderstood her post? I thought from exercise she only wanted to burn 1400cals for the whole week? and the rest would come from food moderation?? Gah, I don't know! If it's 1400cals per day, then yeah, I'm with you! That would be hard to maintain for SURE. I'd need like 2-3 hours of exercise a DAY to get…

Are you talking to me??::embarassed: I've been working out for years now 4-6 times a week 3.1miles isn't very far (and thankfully this one is FLAT ) I was just trying to give my example of what I do on a very regular basis. Oh, and if you weren't talking to me, then I feel stupid :embarassed:

On the exercise portion alone, I don't think it's unrealistic at all. I just looked at my weekly exercise and in the 3 days I've been doing this...(working out is my strong suit...eating, not so much)...I have already burned over 1300calories in 3 sessions. (with a total of about 2:15min in time). I also know this to be…

I had my tranier a while back check me with calipers (OUCHY!!)...I was just about 30% fat. He was saying women should be around 20% and men should be around 10% (we need the extra fat for babies  ) I'm really looking to get that number down by the time he comes back into town in 2-3months (hopefully!)

I circuit train. A combo of strength and cardio...moving fast to keep your heart rate up (I'll sometimes use a jumprope or something to get my HR up if I can't keep it up through the movements alone. I focus on large muscle groups and a high HR. HTH:smile:

Hi! New here as of yesterday  My cousin turned me onto this site and should be around here *somewhere*...although not sure if she's an active poster. I tend to enjoy message boards, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I like the setup of this place! I did WW a few years back, and a few times since then...but the site…
