  • I feel us on the Elleno's yogurt, I don't know what they put in that stuff, but I can't buy any more than a walk around, I just eat it ALL! And when it's as hot as it has been, I have simply stopped caring and wear whatever is most comfortable, big thighs be damned!
  • Hey Rai! I am also in Seattle! Looking for other women to help keep me on track. Please feel free to add me
  • I feel ya, I love the community support of MFP, but around the holidays, just completely fell off the rails, so picking myself up and dusting myself off. Am happy for anyone on here to add me!
  • My goal is to lose 10lbs by July, 15lbs is my stretch goal!
  • I am definitely looking for more friends on MFP. I love the social aspect of this sight and am looking for other ladies to help support and motivate each other through our journey to better health and fitness! :-D
  • My personal favorite is Dave's killer bread. I eat the power seed because there are 6g of fiber and 6g of protein per slice. I know he also does "lite" breads that are lower in calories. After eating Dave's every other sandwich bread tastes bland to me, but I have heard good things about Ezekiel bread, so might give that a…
  • Why not try poaching it instead? You can blowtorch it after if you want that nicely browned exterior after, or coating it in a sauce for flavor. Otherwise I would recommend brining your chicken before sticking it in the oven, try to have a little bit of liquid in the dish you are cooking it in, or use boneless skinless…

  • I feel ya! In October 2012, I moved from a job where I was constantly on my feet moving and training for half marathons to a job where I am sitting at a desk 8 hours a day. Along the way I've injured my foot and strained my back, all great excuses for not working out. It got to the point where I felt completely hopeless. I…
  • I agree with pretty much everything that is already being said here. Weight loss is not always the most accurate way of measuring success when it come to getting healthier. Here are my thoughts: 1. Is your personal trainer measure your body fat %? I know that last month when my trainer and I looked at my results, I only…
  • Oh man! I totally feel you! My boyfriend is like a non-stop eating machine who just can't put on weight! He is actually trying to gain some weight, while I am trying to lose, which can be super tricky. We both have committed to eating healthier overall, though. I have a few suggestions that have helped me be successful in…
  • I have noticed that my sugar cravings come mid afternoon. I tend to get them if I haven't eaten for 3-4 hours. I try to keep food bars in the fridge at work (the chocolaty/peanut butter ones taste WAY better cold) and have one of those. I am picky about which food bars I eat, though, and try to keep them under 200…
  • Female Age: 28 Starting weight:163 Current wieght: 157 Goal weight: 135 Calorie goal: 1,350 Exercise Routine: Currently going to the gym 3x/wk doing a combination of cardio (treadmill & cycling mostly) and weights, usually about 1 hr 30 min total. I work with a personal trainer once a week, which helps keep me accountable…
  • We are pretty close to twins, maybe more like close sisters ;-) I struggle with the same issues, especially emotional eating, it is tough. I have found two ways of dealing with it. One is to choose to eat fruit or veggies before I binge on Mac and cheese (also not keeping junk in the house) and writing down how I am…

I am 28 years old and 2 years ago left my job in retail management for a more regular M-F 9-5 desk job. In the process I put on nearly 20 lbs and, aside from a few pounds, simply…
