Opeth - From extreme black metal to acoustic, melodic beauty. Muse - one of the best live bands with some amazing riffs. Karnivool - progressive, melodic metal/rock and not afraid to push boundaries. Vocalist can do no wrong. Cog - like Karnivool. Thrice - Started off as punk and has slowly evolved into progressive rock.…

Here are those bands and some song names for some ideas; And I made a spelling mistake, it's TesseracT (not Tesseracy). Opeth: Blackwater Park. Deliverance. Ghost of Perdition Soilwork: Late For The Kill, Early For The Slaughter. Figure Number Five TesseracT: Lament. Nascent. Eden Periphery: Icarus Lives! The Walk.…

Stay at home Dad. As hard as they can be sometimes I would love to spend as much time as possible with them. I hate coming home from work and having only a short time with them. But being a photographer with my own studio at home would be awesome. I could still see my kids and do what I love from home! I'm doing some…

I wish I had taken up photography in high school as it would have let me experience film. However, digital has allowed me to scratch the surface without the costs involved with film. I have huge respect for those who can use film.

Canon 70-200 F4 It's super quick with its AF, quiet, sharp and makes me look pro because its big and that's what counts, right? I really want a Tokina 11-16 wide angle lens, its been on my wants list for over a year. My other lenses are a Canon 50 F1.8 and a Sigma 24-70

I'm Brian, I'm 30 and had been using a point and shoot quite a lot since I was around 21. I wouldn't say I was into photography so much at the time, I just used the camera a lot at parties and liked tinkering with the settings. I started getting some nice comments about some of the shots I was taking at friends weddings…

I use Lightroom the most. It's a photographers version of Photoshop, sort of. I still use Photoshop when there is a lot of editing to do but Lightroom covers your exposure/colours/cropping/minor touch-ups/vignetting/sharpening/etc... everything. I love it to bits. I really recommend you download a trial version and see how…

I have to update my website, have lots of portraits and the such but I also love live music photography. Here are some of my favourite shots; http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150122842658478.330962.788473477&type=1&l=5a69d21059

I don't own that camera but it looks similar to my lil Canon point and shoot. I learned the basics on that and now have a Canon 40D. http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/5/0300004755/01/PSELPH100HS_IXUS115HS_CUG_EN_02.pdf Go into Program AE (P Mode) - You will now be able to change you ISO speed. Press the Func/Set button, scroll…

I was in a band for a while but had to leave as I had no time for it. It doesn't stop me loving their music and if you like symphonic/melodic metal you will love Lacrymae. There are two singers, brothers, and they are fantastic songwriters. Very epic sounding music and I cannot say enough good things about them.…

I've got a small list of friends and they all happen to be women. I find some of the guys are very aggressive and full on about their fitness regime and I am only just getting into it so I feel a bit self concious. It's exactly the same way I feel at the gym; if there are a big group of super beefed up guys using equipment…

My daughter is Ava Cruz (not because of Penelope, it's in her Spanish grandmothers honour). My son is Kieran Pearse. These are the names my wife and I were dead set on, there was no "I guess that is ok..." which is how we were feeling before our daughter was born; had she been a boy we had NO names ready.

I've got an app called Pocket Cal/Kj that quickly converts into calories. It would be good if MFP would let you choose Calories or Kilojoules but it only takes a minute to check so no biggie.

Been an avid Keith and The Girl listener for the last 6 years. I also listen to Ham Radio, The Vinyl Countdown, Jay & Silent Bob Get Old, The Comedy Button (Gamespy Debriefings' new venture), Tobolowski Files, WTF.

A couple Capital letters and full stops to break up the flow would really help more people get through this post. Wowza, I was out of breath reading that. :) I think the main thing I got from that is that you need to talk to your friends about exactly how you're feeling rather than hoping they know why you need a break.…

You HATED it more than you could ever tell us? Wow. Did the iPhone scratch your car or embezzle you out of thousands of dollars? You do know it is a phone, right? Just to be clear. I bought an iPhone after using a Droid phone and I pay a monthly bill to use it and will continue to use it because it is the "in" thing. I…

Can't go without my morning coffee. It helps me keep regular too. Gross but true!

This is exact reason is why we make sure we say the correct terms. I was trying to write how to explain it but it just looked weird, thanks for clarifying it. My wife is a teacher and had a professional development course talk that centred on this issue.

I've used both and I prefer the iPhone. But, if you like to customize your phone and have access to a lot more apps and such go for Android. I just don't have the time/patience for tinkering like I used to and just want things to work which is why I went for the iPhone.

We say penis and vagina. It amazes me that people treat those words as bad words.

Camera envy! I have a Canon 40D and would love at least one extra body, let alone 3! Have you seen the 1D X in the news, looks amazing. For $500 you'd probably better getting a top of the range point and shoot rather than a bottom of the range SLR. A friend of mine has the Canon G11 and its great, I've used it a bit and it…

Hypercolor shirts Good radio where you would hear at least 2 semi-decent songs in a 10 minute period and maybe one advert. 1c candies. A whole bag for $1.00. 100 candies. SUGAR!!! Arcades, super-sessions where you would pay $10 and have 2 to 3 hours of unlimited gaming. "I miss the innocence and safety of the days in my…

It ain't easy and I don't do it full time. My wife and I had our second in May and it's difficult trying to entertain both, especially when the little one is cranky. Just do what you can at the time and don't feel bad if occasionally you have to watch a movie to keep them still for a while or leave them to play alone…

Used to be nothing. Now I'm a parent so it's boxers. And on top of that usually socks in case I have to put my son down to sleep again in the middle of the night, my feet stick to the floor and the slightest noise usually wakes him up. I sometimes spend 20 minutes planning my movements from where I am rocking my son to…

I cook, clean, drive and do whatever needs doing. She does the same. We are partners and that's how partners do. I love her so why would I dump my share of living in our house on her? I think guys that need to be told that they should help out around the house should be nut punched.
