Rev, I love MFP but their calorie calculators and weight loss projections never worked really well for me. Even with that calculator link I posted 6 weeks ago or so, I wasn't getting much in the way body fat results from my insanity experience. However, you may recall that I suggested making periodic 200 calorie…

You really don't need all that squat and weight stuff as insanity is a great total calorie burner and total body conditioner. My fear is that all that extra stuff just increases fatigue and injury risk, not to mention simple frustration with the lifestyle impact. I did body beast before insanity and lost none of my body…

Completed insanity. I went up 277 total test reps from my first test and left Tanya in the dust!

Insanity max cardio conditioning and cardio abs done!

Insanity max interval plyo done.

Actually the ball push-ups are harder than the flying plyo push-ups because of the balance element involved. With the plyo push-ups at the advanced level you actually rotated in a circle in addition to leaping into the air. I could get more than a 90 degree rotation with my circle leaps, but one guy in the DVD was able to…

Thanks RevGil! I got better at the side/power/plyo push-ups in p90x2. Here are some of the fun push-ups you get to do in X2!

Insanity max interval plyo done.

And I have that twice next week! :\

Swan, the important thing is you are back and doing your best. Unless you are REALLY sick, I recommend just pushing play and doing your best on a scheduled workout when you are under the weather. I almost always find the first 5 minutes or so especially hard, but then my feelings magically change and I just seem to slide…

Completed insanity month2, week3 with x3 yoga.

Completed insanity core cardio and balance.

Rev is back, Yay! Congrats wjelly on completion! I did x3 at the beginning of the year. Phase 3 and Elite were my favorite. I highly recommend spending the extra money on elite. Good luck with that program!

Jmy great job on continuing to move forward. I've run into so many people that quit insanity in the past and can't believe I'm still going. The common threads for reasons they quit: 1. they weren't ready for it. Insanity is not a good choice if you aren't already somewhat in shape. The new p90 or PiYo would probably have…

Insanity max cardio conditioning and cardio abs. Done!

Completed insanity max interval plyo. Fun.

Congrats on week2! You are more disciplined than I am. I weigh every morning ( it's electronically tracked by fitbit and maps to MFP), but only do formal tape and body fat (caliper) measurements weekly. 1.5 inches is fabulous!

Yay Victorian the insanity victor! I really haven't had a sore foot problem so far in insanity. However, as the grandson photo illustrates, I predominantly work on a relatively thick unpadded area rug in my workouts. You will like p90x and should be very prepared for it. You will find yoga way too long, ab ripper brutal…

Completed the rest of the day's workout. Max interval circuit. A long combination for Saturday morning on an empty stomach!

Start of month2 week3 of insanity. Fit test 4. I beat Tanya by 70 total test reps. She beat me in two tests. I beat her in 4. We tied in2. I'm satisfied.

Congratulations on week1, month1!!!! This week and week 1 of month2 are the toughest in the program. Keep pressing play and do your best! ????
-
Yay Swan!!!! Keep chugging away and doing your best everyday. Today, the scale was your friend. Next week it could be the way your pants fit, your measurements or just how much easier it is to put your socks on in the morning. Just keep pressing play. You are well on your way to getting in the best shape of your life if…

Completed insanity month 2, week2. X3 yoga. I'm oozing bliss....
-
Completed insanity core cardio and balance with my grandson's help. you can see my Polar Beat app tracking the endeavor!

I recommend you just let it go and not redo the workout. You gave it your best shot, now let your body recover and build. Doubling up these workouts is a great way to get hurt.
