I'm like this too.. nothing has shown up as abnormal in doctor visits/tests. Does your doctor seem concerned? I would go by that reaction.

I'm with the vitamin D suggestion, as well as B12. Tracking my macros has helped me to see patterns with sluggish days and low protein or fat. It's not for everyone though... Just throwing ideas out there.
-
And No, I wasn't lifting at what I considered a surplus 1650 while watching my macros, but I guess it's been at surplus for what I'm looking for.

Would visceral fat or subcutaneous fat burn off first? I can just research this myself though... I was just wondering if anyone contributing knew the answer. I've just started my cut this past week, so hopefully that will help with what's hanging around.

I've noticed my waist getting slightly thicker since heavy lifting. I still have a layer of fat on top of the muscle, and was wondering how this would impact the measurement? Which fat takes longer to burn off? I'm genuinely curious if this would make a difference in this measurement? I definitely have room to improve, but…

OP, you could benefit from reading this link http://theoatmeal.com/comics/misspelling You can thank me later. :flowerforyou:

+1 I can't remember if you mentioned not wanting to eat meat, but if you're not against it, try eating venison, buffalo, or liver. Especially liver. Game meat is very lean, and a great source of protein

I take a notebook.... I actually feel less silly with it than without.

Reading your response just made my night, thanks! :flowerforyou: As for a response to the OP, I usually just switch to maintenance in the days leading up to the sharknado storm. I'm trying, emphasis on trying, to practice mindful eating when indulging sweet or salty cravings.

I really enjoy the bob... My son is around 30lbs, but it doesn't feel like I'm pushing that much weight.

Maybe ask for a different trainer that is willing to listen to you more, and adapt to the needs/wants of their clients. It took me a long time to find a trainer that was excited to help me with weight lifting. We started slowly, by using machines and light weights first.... She reasoned that while my muscles might be…

Thank you for posting this. I suffer from pmdd, and it can make you feel like the ugliest, meanest, most out of control person in the world. I hardly recognize myself when my moods have gone off the deep end. So, sometimes eating some salty chips, or having something sweet will help balance me long enough to centre myself.…

Phew! Thank goodness :)

Oh. My. God. You need new friends. I was horrified reading this! Actually, this whole thread is just a downer. I really hope you've found some supportive, caring people to share yourself with.
-
You beat me to it! I was also surprised it wasn't mentioned earlier.

Chips. Always the chips.

Wow. That's aggressive. Just because it's not what you would consider a struggle, doesn't mean it isn't a real and legitimate struggle for someone else. They're trying to live and eat in a healthful way and are encountering roadblocks.... Belittling that is not only unkind, but fails in your effort to make any point…

One more thing.... I found this http://whatsyourposture.com.au/posture-health/posture-problems/uneven-or-rotate-hips/ while trying to figure out why I was experiencing so much pain every time I ran longer than 2K. The "assess your posture" tool really made it easy to tell what was going on.

I've just been receiving treatment for a rotated hip, due to collapsing arches. The rotated hip caused one hip (and therefore my leg) to sit higher than the other, which was inflaming the bursa with all the running I was doing. I'm off running while getting chiropractic treatment, and waiting for orthotics, but I was given…

5'5" 170lbs Bust - 37" Waist - 30" Hips - 44" Most definitely a pear, and still on my journey to lose some of those inches.

That's awesome! Very inspiring :)

I try to get in as much exercise as I possibly can, and go into maintenance mode for the 3 days leading up to my menses. I struggle with PMDD, so I've learned to listen to my body (and hormonal mind), instead of trying to fight it. Every body, every mind, and every month is going to be different from one person to the…

No pregnancy stretch marks even though I gained 50lbs. The only stretch marks I have are from my teens, when I went through puberty (hips). I think it's a genetic lottery thing, personally.

I would love some more friends too... I'm pretty new, but I've been logging in daily. :)

Feel free to add me too! I'm pretty new to mfp, and would love to meet new friends! I have around 20lbs to lose.

I think sometimes we get stuck on the bad stuff that happens, because its almost as though someone out there has just confirmed the most horrible things that we have been telling ourselves for years. We're less likely to hang on to an encouraging smile, or brief word of praise, because it's not a reality in our regular…

I'm loving the zombies, run! App for staying motivated with my runs. I can't wait to run and pick up more supplies for my base, and hear the story unfold. Seriously makes running a little more fun :)

I just started this yesterday! I was doing C25K, but wanted to shake things up a bit. I like how squats, knee lifts, and heel raises are incorporated into the training. :)

What about buying a curvy fit jean? Levi's has varying curve levels, to fit a variety of body types now. I'm a pear shape too, so I feel your pain! I've enjoyed my curvy fit skinny jeans though... no gap, and big enough in my thighs and hips to feel comfortable.

You're being incredibly brave by stepping out of your comfort zone, and sharing something that is probably more than just a little scary to you. I can't see anyone criticizing that. Wishing you continued courage, strength, and an abundance of support. I imagine you're going to see a wealth of support here.
