Happy birthday! My birthday is on the 5th and I've already planned myself a treat for that day. I'm having a little of my favorites and even a little cake. My plan is to get in some good exercise first and eat light for the rest of the day.

I tried WW on two seperate occasions and it never really worked for me. I have specialized diet needs because of health issues, and WW doesn't really account for that. I stayed under points just like I was supposed to, and I would lose that initial water weight but not a pound more after that. I like MFP much better…

NSV - Non-scale victories. My jeans are now too loose. I found some old clothes in the back of the closet I had forgotten about that haven't fit in a long time. One was a dress pants suit that I have never been able to wear - and they all fit! Edited because I got lose and loose mixed up for some unknown reason.

Such an interesting perspective. I was always raised to 'clean my plate' and to not waste food. When I started making changes, one of the first things I had to do was to change these views.

5'4" large frame 134-151lbs. That sounds right. I was aiming for about 140lbs. That was interesting. Most of the tables have someone my height closer to 120lbs, but I'm just far too skinny at that weight. I look and feel better around 140lbs.

I started out walking, and at first I could only go 10 minutes at a time. As I kept at it, I was able to walk more and I've even added biking and jogging to my days now. It's really been working for me so far.
