  • I finally completed the course! It feels amazing. I've had a look at Bridge to 10K, and while I may consider it in the future, I think for now I'll stick to doing 30 min (or 5k) runs a few times a week. I'm still steadily shedding weight, so it's definitely working well! And if I can do it (I was lazy as hell before I…
  • I just spent the last two days being violently ill, which is annoying because it means I'll have to possibly take a backwards step in the running. I'd just gotten into a routine of Week 7 as well; all 25-minute runs. I feel a bit better now though, so hopefully in the next few days I can get going again.
  • I successfully did W5D3 today; no stopping. Apart from the hay fever, it felt amazing! I just took it slow to start with and I had plenty of gas left for the whole 20 minutes. Maybe one or two more of those and I'll be ready to tackle Week 6. :D So happy.
  • You've already overcome one of the hardest steps; getting going. :) Soon you'll really get into the swing of it, I'm sure.
  • I've been doing some shovelling work recently and so my back feels a bit tense. I still felt I should run today though, so I did a W1 run again, and it's amazing how easy it suddenly feels. I recommend it actually; if anyone feels unmotivated, tired, fed up... going back and doing the first workout again really shows you…
  • Good luck! And hey, keep sticking at it and you'll probably find yourself looking forward to your next run. :) That's when you know you're motivated, and it's a great feeling. :) - I'm thinking of doing W5D3 today and repeating for a few days; any thoughts? I think some straight 20 min runs will do me a lot of good.
  • W5D1 done, and I must say I found it quite easy. I may repeat it tomorrow and maybe make it a bit more intense, but I'm generally happy with the timings. What probably helped was following the advice of a youtuber who's been documenting her C25k progress. She suggested doing the first five-minute segment at a slow pace, to…
  • I'm about to start Week 5 today for the second time (I started C25k last year and when Winter rolled by, I lost motivation). I've been doing really well this year; I started five or six weeks ago, but instead of three days a week, I've been doing five. It sounds quite intensive, but I've been feeling a lot better than I…
  • My bad, W5D3 xD. Not what I put. Anyway, my weight loss plateau'd for ages, so what I decided to do was a bit of a change-up; I've gone back to literally W1D1, but instead of pacing myself to last the 20 mins, I decided to try going faster in the 60 second intervals, push myself a bit. It was difficult in the 27 degree…
  • Thanks! :) I just got in from doing it; at 16mins I gave in (looking back I regret it!), but after a two minute walk I carried on and did another four mins, to bring it up to 20mins running. When I finished that I felt so damn good! And to be fair, I felt like I'd achieved something big after stopping at 16mins. I mean,…
  • Just did W5D2, and went pretty well, especially considering that it's the first time in the whole plan that requires 8mins straight of running. Let alone twice! D3 will be tricky; first time of doing no walking. This is where it gets pretty serious.
  • I did W5D1 yesterday, and although it felt tough, I managed to keep my willpower up and get through it. I find that if you take your mind off the fact you're running for long periods of time, and think of something else (anything else; although I find it a great motivator to imagine how you'll feel at the end of the…
  • Yeah it was me. :) It hasn't been happening as much recently, which I think has something to do with me being more thorough when I do my stretches to warm up. I'm assuming it was just happening due to it being stiff before I ran. Just did W4D1, man it was a shock to the system! In the end I had to substitute 1m30 of the…
  • That's what's been happening with me! :) I just got back from W3D3, and admittedly the first 1m30 was tricky; hadn't been on my feet much this morning, but once I got into it, the 3min stretches were better, and the second 1m30 was a piece of cake! Week 4 on Saturday... gonna be tricky, but my mental confidence has been…
  • Wow, W3D1 hurt! xD Not used to three minutes straight. Expecting it'll go better in the next few days...
  • My daily glasses of coke. xD I only ever have it when I'm out in town, and only by the small bottle. Before, I was getting through a large bottle every other day. "/
  • Just about to do W2 D3, hoping it feels good, because that'll mean W3 next week! :D
  • I did an extra day of Week 1 earlier and it felt great! Much better than the past three times. Week 2 here I come. :D
  • Just completed Week 1 Day 2. Felt much better than Day 1. xD (PS. if anyone feels they need some decent motivational music to listen to while running, the finale of Shostakovich's 12th symphony works a treat. xD)
  • I seem to get a bit of neck pain when I run. :/ I don't think there's anything wrong with my posture when I run; perhaps I need to do a bit more stretching in my neck beforehand. Any ideas?
  • I did. :) I was a bit achey, but probably because I haven't gone for a run in ages. xD I'm expecting that the next few days will become easier. I felt better for it when I got in and drank lots of fluids though. I felt refreshed. :p Let's just hope I can keep the motivation up and I don't get bored of it like times before.…
  • Same, but I'm planning on starting later today. :) In fact I'll probably go out in the next few minutes and get started.
  • Ellie.... it's Caitlin not JP. :')
