  • Might have already been mentioned, but if I'm really craving for ice cream but can't go out to buy, I freeze sliced bananas and blend it. Sometimes I add cinnamon/pb/chocolate. Kinda like a very thick smoothie, but it works for me! I also mix milk (1cup), sugar (1tbsp) and vanilla extract (1/2tsp) in a jar, leave it in the…
  • For bfast I have a pb and banana sandwich or overnight oats! 1tbsp pb (90cals) 2 slices bread (125cals) 1 banana (85g=85cals) = 300! overnight oats: 2 packets quaker oats (200cals) 1/3 cup lowfat yogurt (60cals) 1/3 cup lowfat milk (30cals) = 290! :-) For dinner, I have a salad orsoup with bread. Or a fruit milkshake!
  • Would you be hungry after? If yes, eat more. If no, have it for lunch. listen to your body!
  • I dont think we have that here but sure would love to try it! When I have Starbucks (like once a month or whenever I feel like it), I ask for the smallest size (tall, since shortnisnt available and i just too small anyway) with non fat milk and no whip, which lessens the calories. I usually order a mocha frap on a hot day,…
  • If that's the case, I am not human! The eggplant wraps U had last night was ridden with the delicious stuff. I loooooove cheese. I guess that "someone" has had bad experiences with it haha
  • Maybe because they want to? Haha we have similar goals but different ways on achieving it. I for one don't like going over my calorie goal so I don't believe I've ever had a cheat day since I started MFP 8 months ago, but if people think a cheat meal is what keeps them going, then I'm roothing for them! ^.^ Today, I ate…
  • I'm planning to workout maybe 3-5x a week. I'll probably start working out and consume 1800 a day tomorrow and see where this takes me. Then will increase my cal intake by 100 per week during the days I workout (at least burn 600 cals every workout). Thank you! :-)
  • I'm 18, 5'4 and 108 lbs. Currently maintaining at 1,750 (sedentary lifestyle). Been a long time since I worked out but want to do so again to tone my body. What I want to do is to start lifting 3x a week (45mins), along with bodyweight training & cardio 3x a week (45 mins each). During the times I work out, I plan to eat…
  • I used to consume 1200 calories and when I started maintainingI added 100 cals a day for a week until I started consuming 1759 cals, what MFP recommended. Based on my experience, I didn't gain but lost a bit along the way.
  • It's got to be milk and yogurt! Oh I love my dairy And rice! Though I don't really like eating a lot of rice, it's always at home haha
  • Never really had a cheat day. Like what others say, a cheat day might be going over calories on that certain day, which I never did. I don't like seeing red in my diary hahaha. I eat what I want so long as it doesn't go over my calorie intake. :-)
  • And yes, dont freak because weight fluctuates throughout the day. For me it's from 105-109 lbs.
  • I remember panicking not bcause of the amount of calories I should be eating to maintain, but the people who say that they've gained because of eating at their maintenance level. Freaked me out and I started crying. But I still did it anyway and slowly added back the calories (100 a day every week) and fortunately didn't…
  • Me! Lost 60+ lbs but lost the last 40 counting calories (1,200 for 4 months). Slowly added back my calories only tonfind that I didn't gai, but lost some. Currently maintaining on 1,750 even when sleeping the whole day. Gonna start working out and checking how many more calories I can eat hahaha
  • This is such a helpful thread! I really need help because like all of you, I want to maintain at a higher calorie range but have no idea where to start. I'm 5'4, 108lbs and 18 years old. I can say I'm a tiny person but I don't want people to think they can easily break me because of my weight (I'm a pretty tough cookie if…
  • Go for lightly active, log in your exercise (eat around 50% of what you burn). Check your weight after a few weeks. If you're losing, increase by 100-200 or whatever works for you. If you're still at the same weight, then that's your maintenance :-)
  • My chest and butt went almost flat after losing weight so I sometimes wear padding sigh
  • 7 months of calorie counting = me losing the last 30 lbs and maintaining. Never gained a pound after. Hmmmmmmm don't believe everything you read
  • WOW, I'm thinking that your workplace is both awesome and annoying at the same time hahaha
  • When I know I'm eating out, I always save my calories (usually 1k just in case). But that's just me. I always plan out my meals and if ever I do come across a restaurant with family, I just order a salad or get staple food (eg rice and viands I know the calories to). It seems sort of boring, but I like the way it is.
  • did it and worked great! added 100 cals a day every week til i hit maintenance - didnt gain weight :-)
  • that and i cant make a double chin without having to squeeze or really force my head to look down
  • hahaha my head got bigger (figuratively) and i'm thinking remained the same size, literally. i have cheekbones and all, but the overall size of my face is big, making it look like i have a huge head in a petite body boo
  • Thank you! Will use lotion every night/after I take a bath! :-)
  • Thank you so much for the comments, truly appreciate it! Will probably start resistance+strength training/lifting this summer! :D
  • I'm a Filipino but can't think of any good dessert besides halo halo or leche flan! For something savory, adobo or pinakbet is yummyyyyyyy! Pinakbet uses shrimp paste while adobo is vinegar and soy sauce. You can search up recipes online.
  • I'm currently maintaining at 1,750 (Lightly active - what MFP recommends) and while I'm not a couch potato, I don't think I move around asmuch as you do. I think you should set it as Active and log in your exercise :-)
  • My goal weight was 120 lbs with an "ultimate" goal weight of 115. Once I reached 115, I reverse dieted into maintenance and lost an additional 3 lbs. Then I dieted again for 3 weeks and reverse dieted again, losing an additional 5 lbs in the process. My weight fluctuates at around 105-108 lbs. I never changed my goals but…
  • Congratulations! Just like what mamadon said, I "reverse dieted" my way to maintenance. I upped my calorie intake by 100 per day for a week (Actually lost a bit of weight during the process, so don't worry about gaining weight as it depends on the person's body). When wanting to know your maintenance, I suggest you…
