It really depends. It may be hard mentally because people think the extra calories will make them gain (which in my experience didn't happen), or it may be hard because after a time of being used to eating less, it'll be hard to eat more (a problem for me, though no one really sympathized hahahha). I feel like maintaining…

Would love to, but my wallet is as dry as a desert and I'm still trying to save up on a good pair of running shoes :-(

Thank you for the comments! I won't be logging in how much I move during the day, but will start to log exercise once I actually do start working out. And yes, college is real hectic, especially when you joined a lot of orgs and manage an online business. That and your social life hahaha I'm not sure whrther I love or…

they were (un?)fortunately the first ones to go! hahahaha i lost a lot of fat around it during the first few months and today, my sister and i exchanged bra sizes! i am so glad they got smaller, they were always bothering me whenever i workout tihi

This is exactly how i feel! Once I reached 115 lbs and everyone kept telling me I was too skinny and that I needed to eat, I knew for sure that I needed to start maintaining. When I read up on maintaining weight, all I saw was that the people who did maintain start gaining a bit of weight, and the thought alone made me cry…

I know exactly how this feels. I used to eat 1,200 calories a day (usually less), and when I finally began losing too much weight and the snide comments began to appear, I decided to start eating. But the thought of eating more and gaining weight (I read up on how to maintain weight and most people talk about gaining a bit…

I just work out after or the day after and go back to my regular calorie intake. I'll kick myself for it, but might as well move on!
-
What is your calorie goal? Maybe you'll need to change it if you can't reach
-
This is what I'm thinking too! Make sure everything is set to equal to 100%. I don't think you'll be able to save what you customized if your macros are at 135%. (For example, mine is 50% carbs, 30% protein and 20% fat = 100%)

I like this comment! :-) Don't think of it as a diet but as a lifestyle change. Lower your calorie intake by just a bit (Check a TDEE calculator and subtract it by 500 for 1 lb loss per week, or subtract it by however you want so long as you're comfortable with it) and exercise a bit more. You don't need to go to the gym…

Sadly, I do. No matter who tells me otherwise, I still see that ugly fat girl in the mirror and it sucks! It isn't that I'm proud of where I am today, it's just that I still see something I don't want to see (a bit of fat here and there), and I end up seeing 2013 me struggling to lose weight.
-
For me, I increased my calorie intake slowly (100 cals per week from 1,200 to 1,800). No change in the scale or measurements. For me, don't trust the scale and start measuring instead. Try using a TDEE calculator instead to get your maintenance, instead of using MFP's.
-
I started "reverse dieting" and increased 100 cals per week until I reached my maintenance goal of 1,800 calories. It took around 5-6 weeks and no weight change whatsoever, even lost an inch around my waist :-)

Always keep your eyes on the prize. Motivation's the thing you need to keep on going. Log in your meals and start exercising a bit everyday. The smallest changes count, so start today! ;-) I remember thinking that I could NEVER be thin like my classmates and friends. I used to convince myself that I've got this disease…

Bump! I started eating whatever I wanted so long as it fits my macro/calorie intake. I hate having to explain to my family and friends as to why I eat whatever I want and the "you'll get fatter with all the calories you're eating" statements.

you can add me! :-)

Number 4!!!!! I pack and measure the things I'll eat and when my friends or dad wants a taste, I just look at them pitifully and say no... hahaha

Cute!

feel free to message/add me! :-) whenever i crave for sugar, i usually have a bit of it (tea with brown sugar/hot chocolate) so long as it fits my calorie goal for the day. but usually, i started not to mind it.

feel free to add me! :-)

Whenever I'm feeling like I want to eat (especially when I'm bored!), I drink a glass of water, or I just do something to distract myself (such as answering forums on MFP wahaha). I also like watching movies or reading books! If you really can't control the craving, eat a bit of it, or have a snack low on calories…

You've got my support! When's your high school reunion? :-)
-
now that i'm maintaining, i see my weight more of a range than a number. because it fluctuates a lot throughout the day, i set a 5 lb range (113-118). ever since i started reverse dieting, i never had to decrease my calorie intake. a week has passed since i started eating at the maintenance level MFP and TDEE calculators…

You have my support! :-) Just count your calories, find an exercise fun to do together and keep being motivated!
-
i feel like counting calories is more effective when it comes to weight loss.

i remember eating in chow king (chinese fast food) and when i logged in the chao fan i just ate, it was 607 calories! made me realize that i should lessen my visits to fast food places haha
