Very motivational, indeed, when we can say, "Take that, scale!" Nice job!

I love coconut oil, especially in scrambled eggs and on toast when it was a breakfast staple, as well as in soup. Generally, 2 tablespoons for the day is all I use. Yes, fat is higher in calories. But for me, it is very satisfying and helps calm the hungries. Since adding it to my diet, my complexion is brighter, has a…

I like crunchy foods, so celery my snack of choice. Sometimes I will have it with almond butter or cheese; sometimes, on its own. I try to only snack if having a drink or distracting myself doesn't work.

Love all the nsv stories! Congrats to all of ya!

Yes, but my dreams were unsettling and disturbed my sleep. Thankfully, they stopped after a couple of weeks.

I'm fairly new, too, and a bit of a "posting introvert"...lots of reading and learning but not much original posting. And I'm getting more comfortable with making comments on my home page. However, I definitely like friends, so feel free to add me, too. :)

I love my four new dresses but especially the two form-fitting, look-I have-a-shape-other- than-round designs. These two are for special occasions, but I put them on and stand before the mirror with a big smile on my face.

I like the mayo with olive oil...

I only log losses. It's a mind game, of course. Must keep the id happy.

Nicely said. I much prefer to be here than on the other boards.

Me, too. Thanks for asking the question! I would prefer food dreams over what infiltrates my sleep. As troubling as they are, I do wake up rested and don't feel the need for a mid-day nap. Also, my slumbering song doesn't play as often, and the husband says I'm not gasping for breath...which means the cpap may be put to…

My college ring fits again! Also, very soon I'll be able to comfortably wear the beautiful deep purple amethyst ring that belonged to my late mother/law. Love me some dolled-up fingers.

I used to eat all kinds of fruit but now stick to blueberries. I do love bananas and oranges, but they don't take up space in my fridge anymore.

I have an end goal, but it's so far away and a bit overwhelming. So I chose small goals instead, also...First, it was 5 lbs. (done). Next, it was to weight less than my husband. (done). Now, I'm working on weighing less than my brother. Weird, goals, I know. All of these were 5-10 pounds, not too difficult but challenging…

Why didn't you think of what?

I do much better with fewer carbs. Along with putting me in a calorie deficit, I just feel better in general. You can eat healthy with fewer carbs. It's really about choices rather than "giving up" anything. However, if I don't beat myself up for going over my personal limit. Good luck!

I used to do "when...then" but have decided my reward is being healthier and more energetic with each goal met.

My advice is to visit your doctor.

Congratulations!

When my doc was concerned about my bp (it was crazy high at his office), I began monitoring at home with our own device 2-3 times a day and noted what was going on if it was elevated. For me, the data was interesting. Generally, it started reducing after having lost 10 lbs and increasing my walking. I noticed it would rise…

Went to the doc today for follow-up on blood work... My A1C and blood pressure was a concern in the previous visit. After losing 20 lbs, cutting carbs to 80-100g a day, and walking an hour 5 days a week, both are now in the normal range. Whew! PTL! So to reward myself, I bought a pair of jeans 1 size smaller (could have…

My BP is always rather high at the doc's, but that is a snapshot reading under a sometimes stressful situation. I take my BP at home 2-3 a day and use the data to assess my recent choices, then share that info at my next doc's visit. My readings at home are never as high as at the doc's. You can purchase your own machine…

Your hard work paid off! Congrats on your successes!

I quit drinking soda on a daily basis this summer but will grab a Big Gulp a couple of times a month. I have yet to fall back into a daily habit. It helps that my husband does not drink soda, so there is none in the house. But when I do drink one, it's because I just want something different than my usual water or tea.

Flat Out wraps are great. We recently made personal pizzas using them. I love the sandwich thins, also. But if you want to replace bread, make a sandwich using romaine or bib lettuce.

Awesome!

Your dedication and hard work are paying off! Great job!

I lost about 40lbs using a couple different meds ( when one stops working, you might get a higher dose or another med) but couldn't take not sleeping/having nightmares or being jittery. So I weaned off whichever med it was and gained back every pound plus more because I resumed old eating habits. Even though meds are not…

You're doing great! Keep it up! :)
