Depends on the workout, but Pizza gives me stellar lifting power, not so hot before a long run though. Rigger

I would, I'm always up for a challenge, but it looks like it would severely cut down the push-ups I already do. Good luck to you though, push-ups are a stellar upper body and core workout. Rigger

I was obese when I started, any program that focuses on heavy compound movements is recommended. Some already mentioned here such as SL5X5, Starting Strength, and New Rules are great. I stay away from machines most of the time, an olympic bar bell is the best equipment in the gym. As for results, get a tape measure, that's…

Anything fried is going to be higher in calories, get steamed veggies, broccoli beef is usually pretty good, teriyaki or pepper chicken is not fried, and several shrimp dishes are typically not fried. Don't be scared, just be prepared. Rigger

All the dumbbell flys in the world won't rid you of man-boobs, you need to cut fat, which as above poster said means a calorie deficit. Rigger

I switched to TDEE after about a month and wouldn't do it any other way. It's just simpler for me to not have to eat back calories and thereby vary my intake so wildly day to day. Eat X-amount, exercise for X-number of minutes per week, done. Rigger

True statement right here. My first scale goal was just to lose 40 pounds, hit that and moved the goalpost from the 224 I was at to 205, hit that and now my current goal is 185, and when I get there I'll probably move the goal-posts again, though from there it goes to BF% rather than scale weight. Forget about the weight goal set on MFP, simply set a goal of general health and fitness, when your body get's where you want it, you'll know. Rigger

I'm just glad my kids didn't come out Japanese, aside from the serious issues I would have with my wife, the poor kids would have been poisoned by my American diet. Luckily, my kids are American and have managed to survive all the toxins. Rigger

Why would you feel guilty? You NEED food to live. I'm having a "Son of Baconator" from Wendys as I type this, nothing to feel guilty about. Rigger

OP, Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, and all other "documentaries" like it are going to rot your brain and make you seem unintelligent. Besides, everyone knows that ALL foods are bad because they have a chemical makeup, and chemicals are poison. Incidentally, I was unaware until yesterday that American food is especially toxic…

Leftovers from dinner Pizza Steak and bacon Oatmeal Cereal Toast Doughnuts Trout or salmon biscuits and gravy grits bowl of fruit rice with milk and sugar protein shake yogurt stir-fry Not sure it would be possible for me to get sick of eggs, but there is a list of alternatives. Personally, I'd add eggs to most of them.…

Diet. Unless you're "skinny-fat" then you need to lift heavy objects off the floor. Rigger

Based on this post you have already failed IMO. If it's not important enough to start NOW, then what makes you think that you're going to stick to it after February third? Rigger

Calf supporters were the only thing that worked for me. Rigger

It's just a matter of willpower OP. Almond Roca is my absolute favorite candy, I have a tin of it in my man cave, and I have yet to even open it. A few weeks ago at a meeting at my church my Bishop offered me some and I was able to decline. It's simply a matter of taking control of what YOU choose to put in your mouth.…

This is a true statement, and you (OP) probably have less to lose than I did. My first 15 dropped off pretty quick and I have been between 1-1.4 pounds per week since then. It's not a race, and you shouldn't look at it as such. Rigger

Don't know what to tell you, it's not about motivation. There are days when you just won't want to do it, and all the motivation in the world won't change that. It's a matter of dedication, you have to want it right down to your core, so much so that it's not even a question weather or not you're going to do what needs…

I'm down 65 since May, with another 1-1.5 expected when I weigh in tomorrow. Rigger

1350 for a guy? Just how short are you? Rigger

Yeah, I would regard that as horrible advice. Pretty much any time someone refers me to the government for advice I figure they don't know their @$$ from a hole in the ground. The my plate thing is basically high carb, low fat low protein bunk. And stop weighing your food? What purpose does that serve? Ignore that…

Personally I keep my feet together, unless I'm doing diamonds, then I spread my feet apart quite wide. Rigger

Agreed, Fresh trout for breakfast is something I grew up on, my wife thinks it's a horrible breakfast food. Then again, I could eat fresh trout for every meal. Rigger

Are you somehow under the assumption that Japan, being a densely populated island produces all the food needed to sustain the Japanese people, and that we here in the US only eat food originating in the US? Our food comes from the same place Japan get's theirs. The fact is that the American diet has become oversized, we…

The opinion of someone who has never tried it is every bit as useful as yours, and a whole lot less slanted. As a coach, you have been sold, and therefore, your "opinion" is really nothing more than the opinion of the company you have bought into. OP, don't waste your money. Rigger

Neither, for the same price you could get him a basketball hoop in the front yard. I have an Xbox, but I'm an adult, my kids don't use it, and for that matter, neither do I. I wouldn't get a kid a game console of any kind after spending some time with family over Christmas, my nephew is completely addicted, what a waste.…

I have an Ozeri, it ran me about $11 on Amazon. It seems repeatable, and does pounds, ounces, grams, milliliters, and has the tare function. Rigger

That's the way to do it, I don't have a dog in this fight being a Packers fan and all. I'll just enjoy my day, sample all the goodies and not overstuff myself. Rigger

So it's some sort of dietary baptismal? Seems legit. As for that comment being "uncalled for" I don't see how, your organs do all the cleansing your body needs, therefore, it's a legitimate question. Rigger
