I've done the gym, and I've done the working out at home. At the moment, I prefer to do it at home because it saves money, it gives me more flexibility with the schedule, and I can workout naked if I want to. I have a spinning bike at home, as well as kettlebells and dumbells. I have a few workout videos and use youtube…

I liked pushing through, because on the first days you get so sore but then it gets easier as you progress and you feel yourself getting better. When you start getting comfortable, you change levels. I always take a minimum of 1-2 days of rest per week. I've also done it while alternating a 30DS day with a spinning…

Depends if I'm hungry or not. I'd probably not eat though because I overeat a bit during the weekends so in the end it balances out.

I am asthmatic. I completed a half marathon and now run on a regular basis. It took work to get there but it's feasible. When I started, I would always do the same 5k run. I started out by walking for 45 secs, then jogging for 15. When I started to feel more comfortable with that, I'd walk for a minute, jog for 30…

I also use the "I'll have it tomorrow" or "I'll have it this weekend" strategy

Research shows great health benefits with IF; however, further research indicates that the benefits are mostly for men. Apparently it could actually be bad for women and create hormonal imbalances.

It didn't work for me. I was restless at night and didn't sleep well. On the days that I restricted my calorie intake, I was ok, but on the following days I was so hungry that I had trouble staying reasonable with my intake and making good food choices. I had acne for the first time since my teens. I do better with my…

I do greek yogurt with different combinations of flavours (fruit, cocoa powder, maple syrup, peanut butter, protein powder, etc) on most days. Banana with peanut butter. Omelets. Some brands of oats are gluten-free if you tolerate oats. I mash together a banana and 2 eggs and baking powder, add desired flavours for flour…

Popcorn for me. With time, I've even come to enjoy popcorn more than chips.

My PE was worthless. Just team sports, limited instruction, no learning. I wish there was a nutrition component to it. People need to learn about that, as it is so basic to our health. I wish there was also an intro to proper strength workouts, how to use weights, proper form to avoid injuries. I wish there was an element…

No, what I'm saying is that many people use it to find inspiration for recipes that fit their own health concerns, not necessarily because they want to imitate cavemen, even if that was the original theory. Again, I don't care about the pseudo-theory behind it, I care that it doesn't make me sick and provides me with tons…

I hear what you're saying, and you are right. However, when you search for "gluten and lactose free", you get lots of things that are "paleo" that come up. It tastes good and gives me what I need. It would be stupid to discard it just because it was labeled with the word paleo even if I don't agree with the "science" in…

See, I did for my 2nd and felt it helped me stay on track and aware of the "not eating for 2" excuse. Without that tool, I might have eaten everything in sight because I just had no ability to stay reasonable if it weren't for that accountability of logging.

Your body will do what it wants to do while you're pregnant. Eat sensibly, log your calories in order to hit your maintenance goal + 300 cals for baby. Stay active and fit even if it's hard because you can get so tired. If you know you're doing everything "right", don't put pressure on yourself to "not gain too much".…

That's just not necessary. The term Paleo is just a label for a diet that fits the bill for people who have food intolerances. I can't have gluten or lactose, and while I don't follow a strict paleo diet, I find lots of inspiration for awesome recipes on paleo blogs. It's always healthy and sure to not make me sick. OP: If…

I'm 5'5", current weight 134, want to go down to 125. My lowest was 121 and I loved it but it wasn't sustainable. 125 I look good and feel ok about it, and prior to both babies, I was able to maintain.

I'd eat normally the days before. On the morning of the ride, ensure to have a good, filling breakfast that includes carbs. For the road, take a banana and a granola/protein bar to snack on during the ride.

I am in that boat. I try to underestimate my calorie burn and overestimate my calorie intake just a bit to plan for inaccuracies and then stay right on target for my net calories. However, on longer bike ride days where MFP says I burned like 1000 calories, I don't eat all that back, it would be like eating a whole day…
-
I have a 13 miles ride, that takes me about 47 minutes (counting only the time I'm actually pedalling, not the stop lights). I always remove a few minutes and only log it as "moderate" even though according to MFP, my speed would put me at "vigourous" or even higher. I always put the lowest calorie burn for any physical…

I'm 5'4'' at 135 now, trying to get in the 120-125 range. Since having babies, I've been able to reach 127 but haven't been able to maintain it. It's so hard!

sprained may not be the best word; English is not my first language......

Wow.. I really didn't realize it was injured until a few days later... it doesn't hurt that much all day, but gets sore as the day goes on. I only worked out on it because I felt good, but it's after the workouts that I found it hurt. Never thought it could actually be fractured I'll go to a doctor then. Did an abs Pilates…

Yeah I know the doctor will tell me to rest up, there's no point in missing work and wait for hours in their office. I'm more looking for alternative workouts ideas, which won't come from the doc, but from fellow fitness enthusiasts.

I am grateful I have legs that work and that I am healthy enough to take on any activity I want without hurting myself. I am grateful again for my legs because they allow me to bike to work multiple times per week. I am grateful for those long bike rides that take the stress away. I'm grateful for the wonderful nutritious…

Whenever I have trouble hitting my protein goal, I'll have a serving of greek yogurt mixed with protein powder and hit 40g of protein with that simple snack.

Wow some people are sensitive! It's a game! Not from the USA but if you were sinking, then Canada wouldn't be too far behind. In which case I'd love to move to Spain.

I commute by bike (45 minutes each way). When I can't commute by bike, I go for a run during my lunch break. If I know it can't happen, I do a workout dvd or use my spinning bike while watching netflix before everyone else is up (usually from 6 to 6:45). During weekends, I'll ride my bike with kids in the bike trailer…

I usually do the chores while they are up and "help" me. Then when I put them down for the nap, I work out. If they wake up before I'm done, I want them to stay in their room because it is too early to be up (workouts are never longer than 45 minutes so if they're not actually sleeping, they should still be resting in…
