@Versicolour My sister won several Pentatonix concert tickets from a local radio station; we're going with her and her husband to the concert this upcoming Saturday. I've never listened to or heard of them. I guess I'll find out about them on Saturday.....

"If You Could Read My Mind" Gordon lightfoot If you could read my mind love What a tale my thoughts could tell Just like an old time movie About a ghost from a wishing well In a castle dark or a fortress strong With chains upon my feet You know that ghost is me And I will never be set free As long as I'm a ghost you can…

Stress triggers me to eat too much of the wrong types of foods. Right now my stress levels are high in several areas of my life 😬 ..... work, family, relationship. I need maintain my awareness and not add to the stress by over-eating and then feeling shame or guilt about it.

I talked to my son in the military; he made it safely through an extended training exercise.

Love Bites Def Leppard If you've got love in your sights Watch out, love bites When you make love, do you look in your mirror? Who do you think of? Does he look like me? Do you tell lies? And say that it's forever? Do you think twice, or just touch and see? Ooh, babe Ooh, yeah When you're alone, do you let go? Are you wild…

Been married 26+ plus years. Wouldn't have it any other way. Our marriage has had its ups and it's downs, but has endured. I don't think there's an easy answer to the question of "Why did you get married?" Single life was fine for me for a while, but I just remember thinking back then that it was the right woman, the right…

Wow! You're doing so well. Very impressive.

Thank you for your service to our country. I have a son who is active duty USMC. Very physical and very demanding branch of the service to be in.

I'm 54 ... marching towards 60 (God willing). I know it's a cliche, but I honestly believe more than ever that age is just a number. When confronted with some serious health issues, my father lost about 80 pounds when he was in his 70's. I figure if he can do it, I can do it. Plus, I want to start now before I'm staring at…

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.

I had some similar experiences with people around the topic of lifting weights when I posted some questions on the Community boards regarding strength training. I had some sincere and helpful answers, but I also had some condescending (arrogant) and/or just plain mean responses. For me anyway, I think the key here is that…

Grew up in Pittsburgh. Said I'd never move to Ohio (eventually did). Lived in several different states and been in many parts of the world. Decided I kind of like Ohio.

I have a small rotator cuff tear in my shoulder. I opted for physical therapy instead of surgery. Physical therapy has helped with strength and ROM. Slowly getting stronger and the pain is largely gone. I'm being very careful not to re-injure or aggravate. Has really caused me to have to modify my fitness activities.

I'd love to connect with anyone in a similar situation as myself; working on fitness while recovering from an injury that requires you to limit and or change your fitness routine. I'm working to recover (without surgery) from a torn rotator cuff injury. The tear is minor, but there is still a loss in strength and motion. I…

Thank you for your post. It got me to thinking about how I've used food as a drug as well.

Akron here. Lots of us from Ohio on MFP.

Hi; 54 here. I've been on MFP for a while, and have had some success especially early on when I first started. Injured my shoulder last year, and that derailed my exercise routine somewhat. Working on healing and getting back on track. Friends help to make this journey worth the trip. Always looking for new friends and to…

I know I certainly feel this way at times. There is lots of support and encouragement on these Community Boards. The majority of us are struggling with similar obstacles towards similar goals. Good luck to you on your journey!
-
Hello and welcome. Best of luck to you on this journey.

I'm working to get back on track. I'm 54 and it's time for me to take care of me. Good luck to you. We got this!

Very sorry to hear about the situation that you're in. Difficult place to be. He's likely not going to leave the mother of his children, his home, his comfort zone, etc. You would be wise to end the relationship and move on. You'll look back on this in a year or two and realize leaving him was the right decision.
