  • I was tired all the time. I realized that I've been "rewarding" and comforting myself with fast-food. And then there's vanity. I turned 40, and I want to feel great about myself. I want to lose 20 pounds.
  • I'm 5'8". I reached a high of 193 when pregnant, but started MFP at 164. It puts me in a tight size 10, but usually a 12. Currently I'm 157. I want to be 145, which in the past has made me a loose 10.
  • I mix a big handful of raw spinach in a morning breakfast smoothie. I don't mind the taste at all, and I used to run from spinach. Now I realize I thought I didn't like spinach because I'd never had it before when it wasn't boiled to death and laying in an awful soggy pile on the dinner plate.

  • I find that because I'm 5'8", even when I lose 25 pounds, I only drop one size. I go from a too tight 12 to a nicely fitting 10! Although, I probably should have been a 14 to start, but I was squeezing myself into my size 12 clothes! So maybe it's two sizes!
  • Are you taller? I'm 5'8", and I have to lose 20 lbs before I even think about going down a size. Also, I would bet people are noticing some, but I know I wouldn't say anything for fear of offending.
