Agreed! I also dislike Jim Carrey so much that I loathe any character he plays.
-
Don't like Lori or Andrea from TWD. Didn't like La Guerta from Dexter or that one psycho *kitten* Dexter was cheating on Rita with. But my #1 most hated character? Gemma from SOA. And I assume people that justify her actions are mentally disturbed.

I LOVE this thought process. I joined a group here the other day in which the goal was to lose 5 lbs this month. I believe I'll have better success with short-term goals. It makes it not as daunting, and the rewards and satisfaction are immediate.

Thank you for sharing your story. I loved all the detail - it was very personal and I'm sure it's inspired many people. Myself included.

I definitely will use fake boobs as a reward. But I refuse to do it until I have an amazing, tight body. I want to flaunt them, so I won't do it until i flaunt the rest. I'm a C, but I am still nursing my son at morning and night only. I'll probably be a deflated B when it's all said and done. lol

The arms

This is a tricky one. My parents never had pre packed foods or soda in our home when I was growing up. As a result, two things happened: 1) Once I left the home, I gleefully gorged on everything I wasn't allowed to have growing up. Thankfully, wisdom and age changed that, and I only ate like that for about 4 years after…

I am an apple (tummy and arms are the worst). My weight fluctuates, but I seem to lose in my thighs and butt and nowhere else. This makes my jeans look like they fit horribly. I don't want a muffin top, so I get jeans large enough for the waist and then they SAG in the butt and thighs. Anyone else have this problem? It…

SW: 143 CW: 143 GW: 138 Weigh in Dates: 1/1: 143 1/8: 1/15: 1/22: 1/29: End of Month (or whatever weigh in days you use) Total weight lost: ______________ I'm in. I hate that my weight fluctuates by 3 or so pounds on a daily basis though. It ranges anywhere from 141 to 144 on a daily basis.

It was certainly startling to read (lol), but I got her point. Kind of makes sense!
-
Thank you coccodrillo72, that's exactly the type of info I was looking for. My son doesn't wake up that much, thank goodness, but my husband doesn't take turns with me. Heh. :-) Here's hoping we can get more sleep soon!

OP, quite frankly I think you were beautiful then, and even better now! Truly an inspiration.

I'm just lurking because this is my height too. You all look so amazing! My weight has been collecting in my face, belly, and arms. I'm to that point where it's depressing getting dressed and even more depressing being around thin people. Crazy, since I was born with "skinny genes". Age and lifestyle are catching up I…

I'm just starting again too. Had a real good streak going for awhile this summer, but fell way, WAY off the bandwagon! :)
-
Not worth pointing each one out, because it's a losing battle. I just think it's kinda disrespectful. Not trying to be the post police...carry on! :)
-
I guess you missed the myriad of mocking comments attributed to god, fairy tales, and religion on the first page then. But they, it's a free country!
-
Love the uncalled for religious bashing! Real helpful.

Well...that explains some prior issues I was having before. I was wearing the HRM and logging the calories burned into MFP. And then eating them back. Thanks for the thoughtful explanations!
-
Perhaps this is a silly question, but if I have a heart rate monitor with a chest strap, could it not log all the calories I burn in a day if I wear it all day?
-
MFP tells me that if I want to lose one pound a week, with a lightly active lifestyle, and with exercising 3x/week for 30 mins/session, I should eat 1480 calories.
-
I really think it seems high, too. I think I'll start with 1800 calories a day. However, if I put in my own calorie goal (instead of using MFP's), that means I should NOT eat back my exercise calories, right?

Also, to clarify my earlier post. One might wonder why I would accept friend requests from someone I don't know. I figured maybe they saw something in my community posts or profile that interested them - perhaps a common interest, struggle or question. I figure maybe they would like to see my updates in their news feed…
-
Exactly! Who does that? Even with my Facebook, which consists of my friends and family in real life, I don't comment on everyone's post. Who has the time?
-
No. What happens is an individual normally "adds" the amount of friends they can adequately keep up with as far as actively encouraging them. But then, others add them, and they feel unkind saying no. So the friend list grows due to other people sending them requests. Then, the individual cannot possibly keep up with…

This is absolutely true! Having worked in the legal field (probate and estate planning, to be exact), it's SO IMPORTANT to have your wishes spelled out clearly. A will is not enough. In fact, it's a good idea to have (financial) powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, AND living wills.
-
Totally agree. Also, part of what's so crushing financially when marriages fall through is the RIDICULOUS amount of money spent on weddings. My husband I went to Hocking Hills and had a beautiful ceremony, just the two of us, in one of the caves. Then we honeymooned for the week there. I think it cost $1000 for the whole…

I look at my parents, who have been married 35 years. It's a true marriage, and it's a happy one. Those examples really burn people who are anti-marriage. But no matter what they say, I've seen what a beautiful thing they have. And I've also seen some horrible divorces. Failures don't make the good marriages any…
-
Well, it means a lot of things to different people - so it's hard for me to answer your question "factually", like you seem to want. But my personal thoughts: It's absolutely more difficult to leave a marriage than to leave a boyfriend/girlfriend. It's absolutely not an easy out. It's a huge leap of faith and public…

I hear you! It's so funny, because it doesn't matter how many times you say "it's not a sustainable way to lose weight", it goes in one ear and out the other! It's common knowledge that it's ok to include room in your diet for the occasional indulgence. So...if I enjoyed smoothie that has a scoop of herbalife in it, I just…
-
I haven't bought Herbalife in nearly six months because it's clearly not practical for a long-term weight management solution. But I don't think it's the debil either...any more than any other treat. It cost less than $1 per shake, so it didn't cost me any more than the other occasional indulgence people may partake in.…
