Well Said! I've had a similar revelation, but it's sort of processed as- I am really proud of this body right now. I had always kept my mind's eye on the body I'd have when I finished. What's differnet now is the brain change. I'm excited to feel strong, and appreciate the body I'm changing. Rock on sister :)

I've been here a month and have not really focused on exercise....YET. For now I need to research food, and really learn how to cook and prepare things. I'm getting light exercise in (walking my dogs, biking, and or cleaning). I do plan to amp up the exercise as I get more comfortable with the food aspect because I do want…

WOW!!! Fantastic transformation. Mad respect for posting your story. You'll definitely inspire others (myself included). Thank you for sharing! I'm happy MFP has helped with your food issues too. Sounds like you've learned & reinforced those healthy choices, and exercise as habits. Congrats on all your hard work and gained…

Yep, I'm 5"1& 3/4".... I'm obese by standard measures, and sick of how I feel, so been on MFP for a month and dropped 16 lbs... I'm 220lbs now, but my goal weight is 130. I don't recall ever being below 130, so if I get to 130 and feel I could do more, I will. I have twin sister (fraternal) who's 118lbs.... if we could…

I hear you! I've yo-yo'ed my entire adult life. I can stick it out and then get bored eating the same 5 meals. What's different this time is my focus on the food. You do have to plan, and research. I also don't deprive myself. If I really want something, I'll have a taste, or small portion and add in exercise. Get some…

Any one can add me too! :) Been here a month and so far the support has been fantastic!

Turning your electronics off an hour before bed is HUGE! this includes watching tv, computer montiors, or smart phones. Keeping them on before bed stimulates brain activity that prevents your brain from winding down to a state where it can easily relax in to a deep sleep. Not only that, but the unnatural light coming from…

I am a snacker too! Right now at my desk I have 100 calorie packs of almonds (think there are 15 almonds in a serving), but let me tell you, they definitnely help me feel full), I also am prone to grab Popcorn, oranges, apples, bananas, peanut butter & crackers, slices of turkey deli meat, pretzels, whatever left over…

Welcome! I just started my journey last week... so I definitely know what you mean about eyeopening!.....My immediate goal is just to log, and then work in some exercise. I do walk my two dogs consistently, but clearly just doing that hasn't helped me loose weight, haha! Being accountable for my calories is going to do…

Ooh! one of my favorite meals is a baked sweet potato. Cook up some chicken breast with salt, pepper, garlic, (or however) you like it seasoned best). Cut open the baked sweet potato after cooking. Top with the seasoned chicken (the pieces cut into bite size portion). ...top with salsa (looks like you could make your own…
