thanks for the advice - there are no mid weights I can add - its a pretty basic gym and the machines only go up in 5kg imcrements. I will do as many as I can in my last set and build up from there - thanks :)

im a craft nut. I like to paint furniture and make things and i find when i become engrossed, I have to be reminded to eat! a rarity in my life! busy mind and busy hands is the key!

you havent mentioned what you are eating. You cant out excercise a bad diet. Make you sure are eating at a calorie deficit by weighing and measuring everything that goes in your mouth, then the weight will come off

what about allocating him a "junk cupboard" in the kitchen. All his junk food goes in there and you simply dont open the door - out of sight, out of mind and all that.
