  • thank you all so much for taking the time to reply. I have re-adjusted my settings in MFP and its telling me to eat 1200 calories a day. That is much lower than what ive been eating so im going to try that for 6 weeks to see if it makes a difference. Thank you all again.
  • yes, according to those online calculators, I should be eating about 2600 calories to maintain my weight so I eat less, averaging between 1700-2000. I do weigh and log
  • I've got 21lbs to lose to officially get into the healthy bmi category. Thank you all so much, it is so frustrating however I won't stop trying. I know for a fact I won't lose weight if I don't try! I will try on some older clothes to see but it is early days and I'll keep doing what I'm doing.
  • Thank you! This is very helpful!
  • As a mum myself, i wouldnt give up the morning snuggles for exercise - however my son is 5 now and I workout between 6-7 in the morning. However, your baby really needs to get used to noises, so evening would be perfect and just take a shower. We were lucky in that when my son was a baby, we lived in a block of flats so he…
  • Treadmill intervals are great -i workout from home so i dont have a treadmill, Although I do go outside my house and do sprinting intervals which are great. I prefer to incorporate cardio into my weights though, I work to a timer and do 50/10 hiit intervals. i like to do a weight lifting interval followed by a cardio one…
  • Hi There, I would say im fit (although i dont necessarily look it!) I exercise 6-7 days a week and that includes High Intensity Interval Training and running on my rest days. Im also not vegan or vegetarian and do eat alot of meat
  • it took me ages to see changes, a little half inch here and there and it wasnt until the last 10lbs or so that it all melted off my face - thats when everyone noticed i lost weight. However, even at my lowest weight, my stomach was still a major problem area, thats what would be last to go.
  • feel free to add me, im a big hiiter and exercise almost daily, i have about 20lbs to lose, feel free to add me
  • a guy at my work did this last week - i told him that my main problem was snacking as my meals are perfect so i was trying not to snack as i wasnt hungry - he went out and deliberately bought bbq pringles and jelly sweets (both are my faves) i folded on friday and ate loads but today i went along and when he waved the open…
  • I love hiit, but i never feel like im doing it right. Like Im not doing it for long enough (sometimes 12 minutes, sometimes 24) or im not doing the right exercises.
  • i dont weigh the eggs, I would make a recipe saying how many eggs, how much milk (50ml usually) and weigh the ham. Then you have your calories
  • If you live in the area which has the association, and you have had the rules but lost them. I would imagine that if you broke the rules by running, you would either receive a visit from the association leader or a letter through your door telling you that you broke the rules. I cant imagine a man in a wheelchair thinking…
  • so you have lost a pound a week and 5 inches but youre unhappy? thats fantastic progress, i cant imagine what else you would be hoping for!
  • i tend to wait until i know i wont throw it back up - usually an hour. I dont think its like swimming though - you can have a pre-workout snack and run straight away
  • im sure she could go hiit cardio bursts running away from you
  • C25K is what got me started with losing weight. I did the 9 week programme in 7 weeks as I felt i could push myself. Although it is more of a couch to running for 30 minutes - i was not running 5k by the end but i was running for 30 mins as i was very slow (I built up speed over time) i remember the first time i ran for 30…
  • the best and cheapest source of protein is eggs. Eat eggs for breakfast, like an omellete with veggies in it, to drop calories, just make an egg white omellete - 1 egg white is only about 11 calories, whereas a whole egg is more like 80. And the egg white is where all the protein is.
  • doesnt want people to know what they look like
  • When I make a recipe, I input all complete weight of all foods I put in, then I divide up the portions and however many I have, thats how many portions I put in the portion section of the recipe. Then when I log it, I put in 1 serving - its never gonna be perfect, but its gonna be damn close
  • You do whats right for you - no matter how your husband feels about your weight, he should support your decisions about your body. If you want to lose weight, keep the focus for yourself and lose it. Your husband is just gonna have to suck it!
  • i prefer to do a cardio warm up and literally warm up my body before starting. However, it is a perfectly good warm up to do light weights of your workout
  • Im from Scotland and have used MFP for 3 years. I lost 60lbs and unfortunately gained 30lbs back last year so Im on a mission. I do a mix of cardio and weights but I love doing HIIT. It mixes them both up, you can never be bored and HIIT only lasts about 20 minutes before youve melted into a sweat pool on the floor!
  • maybe if you log as you cook? So you know how much you are going to be eating, then if youre not happy with the number, half it - or dont eat it at all. I know we arent supposed to waste food but its better in the bin than in your stomach. I understand that logging your food really isnt the issue here, its your motivation.…
  • Hi, I lost 60lbs over 8 months when I first joined MFP in 2013. Then I struggled with maintenance and gained 30lbs, so im back to logging my food (exercise has become a wonderful habit to me, I love it - its my food I have to learn to control!) Feel free to add me.
  • I think meal prep is your friend in this scenario. Make a whole bunch of savoury small meals (which you can make to probably the same amount of calories as a bag of crisps) and freeze them. Take one out of the freezer before your shift and eat it when you get home. Alternatively, have you tried breadsticks and houmous? Its…
  • To be honest, If I were hungry enough, and if it were legal - I would turn cannibal. Lets face it, humans are over-populated anyway, lets thin down the population by eating them. Apparently we taste like chicken
  • Its easy! You can do it - dont deny yourself but go for healthier options. A little bit at a time. One small change everyday with equal a lean, mean fighting machine in no time!
  • feel free to add me. Im a daily logger (back on it after I got complacent and put on weight) I have about 2st to lose to get back to my lowest weight. Im active and I love to motivate.
  • I food prep, but I do it for main evening meals and lunches and for a family of three. But im happy to share with you what i do: I buy a whole chicken and soup packs (carrots, turnip, onion, leek) Then I cook the chicken and decide what meals I will make depending on what foods are in my pantry/freezer. Then I cook…
