I'm a nurse and do many afternoons shifts, so when I get home after work I get cravings for savoury snacks like chips. Anyone know of a healthier alternative that is low in fat, calories? Tried not snacking so late but I can not get to sleep. Please help!!!

You don't eat dinner when you come home at night?0

I like eating some turkey pepperoni or string cheese as snacks. They're nice and salty, but aren't heavy or particularly fatty or carb filled. There are also "P3" snacks that have about an ounce of ham/turkey/chicken and ounce of nuts and an ounce of cheese. They're a little higher in calories than the other snacks I listed, so I usually eat them with my lunch, but if you have the calories left over for them, I find them very satisfying. I usually find them near the lunch meats in the grocery store.0

I think meal prep is your friend in this scenario. Make a whole bunch of savoury small meals (which you can make to probably the same amount of calories as a bag of crisps) and freeze them. Take one out of the freezer before your shift and eat it when you get home.
Alternatively, have you tried breadsticks and houmous? Its delicious and satisfying - to eat more, have breadsticks and chopped up carrots and chopped up cucumbers to dip in there aswell. you will feel like youve eaten alot but not a whole lot of calories.0
