i was about 3.5 stone down when people started to notice but it wasnt until i lost 4 stone and hit the 12 stone mark that half my face disappeared! Then everyone noticed! Remember, it will take time, at some point you will be sick of the comments!

i just started getting up at 6am for a morning run, this week is my first full week - i only do it a tuesday, wednesday, thursday as I can squeeze it in at other times the rest of the week. Its quite difficult getting up at 6 but i find it difficult getting up at 7 so its not that big a deal. I can only fit in a 3 mile run…

hey - you already are beautiful - thats your first step! love yourself first then lose the weight! I am also married with a toddler and im only a couple of kilos heavier than you. Im a daily logger, feel free to add me

another thing Ive also found is people have no idea what healthy really looks like. This country has slowly been getting bigger so that has become the "norm". I was at a party a couple of months ago and there was a very slim girl there wearing a very figure hugging dress. She was small (naturally so i say) maybe a size 6-8…

I know alot of people who have sustained the 5:2 diet for over a year. It just works well for some people. I cant personnally do it - my mind gets in the way. I just eat within my calories every day
-
yeah definitely up your calories - i eat 1800 a day and lose weight. Rather than focusing on the low 1200 that MFP gives go to iifym.com/calculators. Input your height and weight and how often you exercise and it will give you your TDEE amount - then deduct 500 from that and you eat that amount everyday and lose weight…

I run - outside of course - i can just about manage 30 minutes on a treadmill before i want to throw myself off it - but i can run for 2 hours outside. Find what you like best and do it

Feel free to add me. I've lost 60lbs using this, got lazy, gained 10lbs and now trying to lose 20lbs. I'm a daily logger and trying to eat clean. I'm also a huge advocate for fitness, running in particular
-
good way to look at it - small steps add up. Just focus on little changes and being healthy and the weight will fall off before you know it! good luck!

I feel like there are two camps - you got the cardio junkies and you got the weight lifters. youll get different opinions from both. I am a cardio nut - I run 6 days a week but I have to do strength training to make me a better runner. But I admit, its boring to me. But 3 times a week for half an hour is what I do and I…

i like the idea of diet chef but i have 2 other mouths to feed in my house so its definitely not cost effective. We eat the same meals for dinner every week so those are easy to plan and each evening I prepare my lunch for the next day and log the whole day. Makes it easy to stick to if its made and logged and it means…

what a majority is saying is NOT negative feedback - these are the people who are experienced and knowledgable about weight loss and it will do you well to listen. Your weight might go quickly at the start but it will inevitibly slow down and you are setting yourself up for failure. What happens when you dont lose that…

great big granny pants are the way to go! I tell you, no VPL cause theyre so big and the cotton just soaks up the sweat. I never leave the house without them

i have no idea how to dress for my body type! Im an hourglass now (never was before) so I just tend to wear alot of dresses. Ive been told I have zero fashion sense tho. I dont care- im thin! Ill wear whatever the hell I want!!!

ive never noticed that at my gym. I see the same guys and girls all the time. we all say hi and sometimes we all have a sing song between sets when theres a Bruno Mars or Marvin Gaye song on! I would like to assume that everyone works hard to feel good about themselves

what i noticed when i did my weekly shop in Asda is that they stock the discounted food section on a saturday night. So when I do my weekly shop, I do it at 8am on a sunday morning and get all my meat for the week/month and divide it up and freeze it. That saves us a small fortune!

Ive been getting my graze box for over a year. I get one a fortnight. theyre good - i selected the healthy box so every punnet is 150 calories or less and i am aware they have just started a "protein box". - - I like mine. Its yummy snacks and ive been updating them so they know what i like and what i dont. My only problem…

if you want to be fit and healthy then you will work out. If you dont want it, then you wont. You have to decide what is important to you. I love working out, ive worked out 6 days a week for the last year and a half - its became so ingrained in me that I cant imagine not doing it.
-
I became very active on my journey to lose weight, i took up running and going to the gym to the point where i work out 5 days a week. It gave me all this new-found confidence that I joined an amateur theatre group and act on stage (first play in 5 days time EEEK!!) As well as working full time, and being a mum, and all…

Sounds like you want to put his needs before yours. I bet if you sat down and spoke with him, he would be more than happy to compromise. Your making this drama in your own head. Sit him down, talk to him. if hes a good guy, hell understand and support.

i often get the "why are you calorie counting? you run, you dont have to watch what you eat!" they simply dont get that without me being aware, i can so very easily fall back into my "fat girl" eating habits, which to be honest, havent entirely left me. My friends just have to deal with it. They know I calorie count, and…

whenever i go on holiday, if there are no gym facilities, i go for a run every day. even if its only 3 miles, its still better than nothing. And even though i might take a break from calorie counting, i try to make it so i only eat when im hungry, i try to avoid junk as best i can and i make healthier choices at meal…
-
at most, diet pills suppress your hunger but i bet you dont always eat because your hungry right? you need to learn nutrition, you need to learn what works for you in the long run, and you need to learn willpower. simple

i always struggle to get alot of protein in me. I eat chicken breasts and lots of eggs but i find protein powder helps me get it all in. Maybe you should look into that?
-
I dont log everything - i still weigh my food though, I logged religiously for over a year so i know roughly how i eat. When i make bolognese or chilli, i still like to weigh my pasta and rice as i simply cant eyeball it - i always want more. Ive been maintaining pretty well for a couple of months doing this.

i found my shape started to change as i started lifting heavier weights. My waist went in and my hips and bust stayed the same. Turned me into a perfect hourglass. Get weight lifting - if anything will change your shape, that will
-
ive lost 60lbs and i have loose skin. Im trying to lift heavy weights to combat this but it would have been alot easier if i lifted weights while i was losing the weight (i lost it through diet and running) Definitely start a weight lifting routine along with cardio. However, you still may get some. But a bit of loose skin…

lets face it, if you are active and have muscles, your body will burn off the food - doesnt matter when you eat it. I often like a little snack in the evening, I dont think it will sit in my stomach and turn to fat just because i sleep right after eating it
