I workout every single day. Well I occasionally have a day off maybe every 3 weeks. Its become an addiction to me to work out and I don't think its a bad thing. I shake it up so sometimes I run or lift weights or go for a bike ride and sometimes I just walk, that one always feels like a rest day. As long as she eats well…

I ate a giant scone with cream and jam the other day and deliberately put it on facebook so people would stop thinking I dont eat. Of course I got comments like "I hope your calorie counting that" or "you better run an extra mile to cover that" - Im just sitting there like, yeah ok, whatever. Im 4lbs away from my goal…

that is not a high heart rate - you need to be working a bit harder and get that heart rate up. Its not about "plodding" alot. Go faster, up the intensity and get a sweat going. Then you will burn more calories.

your absolutely right. I shall stop running immediately and eat 1200 calories a day - thats healthy!

Weight Watchers is a success because its a failure - you can lose weight much quicker and easier on your own. As for all the gimmicks - they are called gimmicks for a reason. Just eat at a deficit and find an exercise you enjoy. If you really want a boost, take a multi vitamin or something. oh and drink water :)

My heart rate does go up while lifting but Im doing NROLFW just now and the workouts are quite short (less than 20 minutes) so thats why I feel the need for some cardio on those days. I am enjoying lifting and I like what Im starting to see with my body - Im not losing weight as fast but my shape seems to be changing which…

I started lifting and only slightly cut out the cardio as I still want to lose weight. I now lift 4 days a week and do maybe 20-30 minutes cardio during those days and on the other 3 days, I run as im in training for a race this month. I dont know if Im doing it right but my mind is still telling me that I need to get my…

HIIT is definitely the way to go! maximum burn in shortest time

I would definitely say a heart rate monitor for steady cardio. Or if you are into running or walking, a garmin is a great investment

we eat the same as we have always ate, we just eat less of it which means it lasts longer so we don't buy as much.

Ive been running for just over a year and I started calling myself a runner when i compelted the C25K. If you run regularly then you are a runner. I havent even ran as far as you - my longest run is 8 miles. You are a runner. We dont all love it every time and there has been the occasion where I have stopped dead and…

so this girl was on the biggest loser? A show that makes you exercise for 8 hours a say while surviving on 1400 calories? that sounds really healthy. Has anyone told this girl she is an idiot? Cause I would really like to. Calories in vs calories out has made me lose 41lbs in 220 days. Yeah - doesnt work at all does it!

Im 5' 9" and currently 158lbs. I am aiming for 140 but have started seriously strength training in order to cut down BF - Im currently at 30% and that is nowhere near acceptable!! If I can stay at this weight and drop BF, I would be perfectly happy

I had a quick look at your diary and you do sometimes measure in cups. I would recommend measuring everything using kitchen scales. They are much more accurate. I dont always agree with the calorie allowance that MFP gives you. I use the TDEE method. Check out IIFYM.com and it will tell you what you resting metabolic rate…

Hey, I work full time and have a 2 year old. I manage to exercise 6-7 days a week. My son also sleeps from 7-7 (how lucky are we!!) - I will either exercise at lunch time at my work (im fortunate enough to work in an army base so I have the facilities) or I will get up at 6am (very rarely) or I will work out as soon as I…
