 Haven't run since last Friday (w5d2). I am going out at lunch to do w5d3 today. I will not talk myself out of it!!! I have a 5K in 4 weeks and I was really hoping that I would have an extra week or two to help build up my speed. Probably won't happen now. I really need to get myself out of bed in the morning. I have…

I did w5d2 this morning too!! I was very surprised at myself with how well I did. I felt like I could have gone longer on the first 8 and having slow to walk then pick up a jog again for the second 8 was a little struggle, but I eventually pulled myself together. 20 minutes just seems like a long time going from the run on…

Awesome job. My breathing is pretty ok, but the muscles in my calves don't always cooperate. I'm guessing the extra weight I am carrying is not helpful, but my best run was last night (W5D1). The legs held up pretty well. I may repeat the day. I haven't yet decided. Great job!!

Completed w5d1 last night. It was awesome. Only had a little trouble on the 3rd 5 min run, but I was pushing a stroller against the wind. I felt great. I may repeat the day again before I move on as I don't know that I can get 8 minutes in at a time just yet. Maybe I'll try it and if not go back a day. Great job everyone!!!

You can do it! I did w4d1 on Saturday and struggled a little bit, but was surprised that I could actually do it. I did w4d2 last night and it seemed like a breeze compared to Saturday. Just try and focus on some music. I ended up adding an extra minute of walking after the 1st 5 minute run and the 2nd 3 min run on Sat. I…

Finally got w4d1 done. Well, mostly. Since I hadn't run in almost a week I had to add an extra minute or two of walking after the 2 5 min jogs. I still didn't think that was too bad since I was able to push myself to run the whole tme I was supposed to! I may have to repeat a day of this week to make sure I can really move…

So disappointed with myself. I still haven't moved to the next week yet. I haven't run since Monday. Going to shoot for tonight, if not tomorrow morning. I can't keep pushing it off. I am signed up for a 5K in Oct and I will probably need to repeat a day or two. Sigh . . .

Ugg, still haven't gotten to w4d1 yet. :ohwell: Will either do tonight or tomorrow morning. I did walk 6.5 miles yesterday though at a pretty good pace so hopefully the walking helps too. Good job to everyone that moved past another day or two this week!!!

W3d3 done! I actually enjoyed it today. I didn't want to get out of bed, but once I did I felt great. I think I am ready to move on to W4. I think this will be the biggest challenge week. 3 and 5 mins jogs, Eek!! We'll see how it goes on Wednesday. My first 5K is on Oct.5th. I should have plenty of time to finish even if I…

I was supposed to do w3d2 this morning, but my hubby told me too late that he had to leave early so I may do it tonight or get it in tomorrow morning. My lower legs were a little sore this morning from my walk yesterday. We have a walk challenge starting on Monday at work so we were given pedometers on Tuesday. I logged…

Way to go!!! I'm sure w9d2 will be a breeze!!

Great, thank you. I had to go and recalculate for my activity level. Looks like I should be eating a little more.
-
So I used a TDEE calculator and put in my info and it said: TDEE - 2088 BMR - 1740 20% - 1671 So that I understand, 20% (1671) is my calorie target goal that I would put in MFP. I can log my exercise, but do not eat back, correct?
-
I wasn't thinking about the water to help repair the muscles. Thank you. I really need to read up on exercise affects the big picture. I've alway attributed weight loss in pounds and really have never used measurements to record accomplishments.

Thanks for commenting. I should have provided more information. I am 5'9" and weigh 211. I'll have to calculate my TDEE as I've just been going by my weight x6. I also should have added that with the nutrionists theory once I hit 1080 calorles you stay at that amount, which is still really low!!!! When following MFP, does…
