Circuit training, general. That's how I have logged it in the past.

I just did Exhale's Core Fusion Body Sculpt DVD today. They have five, ten minute sections: upper body, thighs, glutes, abs, and stretching. I have never felt my glutes work so hard in my life. I could barely do the ab one, even with the modifications! It's basically a mixture of strength training and Pilates, so it gives…

I love her DVD's. Now I just need to commit to them... Anyone have any love or hate for No More Trouble Zones? Is it better or worse than Shred it With Weights? Or is Shred it mainly a cardio thing?

What strength training exercises are safe on the knees but good for the butt/thighs? As in, no squats or lunges...
-
Yes. Absolutely. However... That was the second thing that came to mind. Yes, you have to track calories, but at least you are in control.

I would love to get that hourglass figure as well. However, corset training can, unfortunately, cause damage to your organs. Or so I've heard.

I'm assuming you stick your butt out, away from your body as you lower into the squat? I don't really know.

The workouts did kick my... Yeah. So yes, they are certainly good (okay, from the one I have tried and the others that I have skimmed). Thanks again for your input, Slasher! I definitely believe somethin' is better than nothin'.

Sorry to revive this thread, but thank you to everyone for the responses! To Slasher09: yeah, it was totally Bum Bum that scared the living crap out of me.

I would also like to know about results. I have wanted to try PiYo for awhile now.

Alright, well thank you to the posters who actually provided a REAL explanation. I have gotten what I was searching for. Thanks!

May I ask what your SW/CW is, along with your new eating habits? For example, what does your grocery list look like? Also, yes, strength training is an absolute must!

I agree with the other posters; it is always beneficial to walk due to many reasons. The biggest reason I can think of is that is gets you in the habit of exercising. Then, as someone else has said, you can move up the intensity.

Thank you for the recipe ideas! I will definitely have to follow some of those. Anyone else have ideas?

See, due to being on-the-go all of the time, I have been stuck eating fast food and heavily processed foods. I am 160 pounds at 5' 4". I hate it. I'm thinking of trying to make a strong change to the Mediterranean diet (which actually sounds a lot like your diet, Charlotte). However, I don't where to begin to make such a…

Me!

This seems like a great idea, and I have faith that it works, but I must ask... Has this method helped anyone get and keep healthier habits?

I agree: Jillian Michaels videos all the way! Her video, No More Trouble Zones, focuses on strength training, but has some cardio incorporated in order to keep the heart rate up. It's pretty tough.

You were pretty before, but you look even better now! Gorgeous smile!

I'd like to know this as well. Also, I have some questions about 30DS: 1) How heavy were the hand weights you used? 2) How long before you started noticing a difference? Both in how you ended up looking AND feeling?

Height: 5' 3.5" SW: 160 CW: 155 GW: 130 I want to be fit and still have meat on my bones. Does 130 still sound too big? Also, how do you tell what your "bone structure" is like? I've always had wide shoulder, as well as wide hips.

I tried Eat to Live, and had the same issue as well. My ultimate reason for stopping it was that I didn't have enough time to prepare food, as well as the high cost of living on it. Now two things: 1) Have you tried to way in which you CAN eat meat (just limited quantities)? Or are you trying the vegan way? 2) Are you sure…

Any other replies? I would like to know as well.

I am starting Pilates as well. For what it's worth, there is a classic saying that a lot of people who have done Pilates swear by: In 10 sessions, you will feel a difference. In 20 sessions, you will see a difference. In 30 sessions, you will have a whole new body. Whole new body? Most likely not. However, I have seen and…
