Thanks for the apology, but I will say that I understand what you mean about some of the people on here that seem to like bickering and just being stupid. I've run into similar things, so I feel ya. Anyway, it's cool. Thanks again to everyone who answered. I think I will try my hardest to just cut out one particular type…

Oh, for *kitten*'s sake... I appreciated your FIRST response, and actually did consider (an still am, for that matter) doing what you mentioned. I mean, I might try to cut out certain foods and find a better alternative (such as dark chocolate, which I also agree has its benefits), at least at first. If that doesn't work,…

I could be wrong here, but I think you should see noticeable results (though maybe not absolutely perfect, but not too far away) by then. May I ask how much you weigh? If you aren't significantly overweight, I would think you should see results by then. Then again, if you want to see a "bigger butt", I'm assuming you're at…

I have certainly gotten a lot of responses (well, minus that waste-of-time-poster)! Sorry to revive this thread, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone who responded and gave their helpful advice. I am also wondering if I should perhaps gradually cut out particular food *types*? Or limit myself to twice a week for…

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I posted a topic yesterday about what kind of to-go foods I can bring. I suppose I will have to suck it up and prepare meals on Sundays for the remainder of the week, which means being around the bad home life situation. It will be worth it for weight loss, though. Wish me luck!

I guess there isn't any credit to this at all? Um, sorry?
-
I don't even think just ten minutes of walking is enough for any weight loss regimen, unless it is combined with another form of more intense exercise! Still, eating healthy is a huge hurdle, too. Especially when I am in a constant state of trying to avoid home (bad home life situation). Anyone have any ideas on how to…

I'd like to know as well. Bump?
-
Thanks to everyone who replied to this! I'll definitely look into going into a low-carb diet. Anyone else done this?
-
Bump...? Sorry.
-
Is Pilates really that unpopular here?
-
Thank you. I will say that after I eat a salad or something else that is pretty healthy, I usually feel better overall. So I suppose I will try to remember that the whole eating healthy thing is better than for just weight loss and looking good. I will definitely keep the never weighing yourself right after you have…

I need some accountability as well. I haven't even been on MFP in weeks, not to mention that I have gained back a couple of my 10+ pounds I originally lost. Ugh.
-
I feel your pain. I hate cooking. As a result, I spend way too much money on fast food and have slowly but surely gained at least 10 pounds in six months after I stopped eating home-prepared foods. I hate to break it to you, but it really is a necessity to cook at home. Not just for weight loss, but for financial reasons…

Thanks to everyone for the support and replies. Is it true with things like exercise that, after 21 days or so, it becomes such a routine that it's easier to get yourself up and doing it?
-
I've been on meds for years already... Sorry to be difficult.
-
Alright, fair enough. I guess I'll try to just lose 1 pound/week. Thank you to everyone and their replies!
-
To answer the question, I am short, at 5' 4" and am trying to go down 20 pounds.
-
How does this topic have 8 pages?
-
Okay, thank you so much for you detailed response! I will definitely try that salad idea (it sounds delicious!) and try a similar exercise routine. Sadly, I don't think I will have access to a pool. I'm sorry I don't have more to say. I wish I could answer your question, but I'm having trouble myself...

I wish I was you. I seem to have trouble losing weight, largely due to struggling with a proper diet. After working for a cleaning company for eight hours a day, five days a week for about two weeks, I lost five pound and have kept it off. I am 5' 4" and now 154 pounds (160 SW). May I ask what you put in your salads, and…

Well, I really haven't been staying with that calorie limit. I have a tendency to binge when I get hungry... But, yes, I do exercise. Mainly walking, but I have started doing pilates lately. I'm still trying out things. I used to use the elliptical and Jillian Michaels' 30DS video, but I had a difficult time keeping up…

So, I'm going to change the pace here a bit and ask this: What are good foods that are low in calories but keep you full?
-
I suppose I'm looking for a quick fix. Is there any thread or are there any ideas from anyone as to how to only eat 1200-1300 calories/day? Because I have always struggled to feel satiated with that, and am looking to lose 10 pounds by July.
-
Damn, I didn't realize how many calories were in fruit! I guess I will have to just log in absolutely everything. Sorry, I'm still kind of new to this. However, are prepackaged meals really okay? I've heard there's just so much junk in those that it's unhealthy. I haven't really been watching how much protein I'm eating. I…

Okay, a few things. 1. I don't log in my fruits/veggies. I ate two bananas today, and seven strawberries. I thought that was plenty of fruit. I guess I need more fruits/veggies, but even when I do eat them, I still never feel satisfied. Is there some way to balance it? Do I have to MAINLY eat fruits and veggies? 2. Sorry,…

Opened. However, I got out of the habit of tracking for a little while. But today's is in there.
-
Definitely have 1 or 2 days of rest per week! I'm trying to get myself to do it, too. There are thousands of people who swear by it, so I think you'll see some nice results. Good luck!
-
Alright, well it looks like 30DS is the way to go. Should I be doing other exercise with it though? I'm trying to lose 5-10 pounds in 6-8 weeks. Mainly inches, though.

I feel ya, hun. While my breasts are larger than the average pear, I still tend to store a lot of fat in my belly/thighs/butt (though I like my butt; I've gotten lots of compliments!). Anyway, I still want to slim down in those trouble zones. I've only lost about four pounds so far, but from what I've heard, try to do a…
