I usually eat Quaker oatmeal or Steel cut oatmeal. They are very filling and you can add in what you like, whether it be fruit or honey or nuts...etc. I also sometimes eat a piece of toast w/ almond butter and then have cottage cheese w/ fruit as a side. Just depends but I agree w/ you the sugar in most cereals is…

I use Body Fortress Whey Protein in vanilla flavor, that way I can mix in any frozen fruit or spinach and it makes it taste better. Also, I did learn that protein shakes taste much better if you add unsweetened almond milk instead of water :-)!

Hi Eileen, I'm new to MFP, but have had the same thing happen to me. I hurt my knee a little over a week ago. I have been trying to find exercises that don't hurt my knee. I have found that I can do the treadmill and the recumbent bike and don't have pain during exercise. I know it's frustrating to have something slow you…

Sounds great, have to try it as it gets boring always drinking the vanilla flavor. One other thing you can add w/ o too many calories is sub unsweetened vanilla almond milk for the water, only 30 cal more. It makes the protein shake taste creamy!

Today is a new day, just get back on track! I think we all have days like this sometimes, but the key is to not give up :)!

Hi, My name is Kathy and I will be 50 in 2014 . I live in Florida and just joined MFP at the beginning of July. My goal is to be 50 and fabulous! I have struggled with my weight for much of the last 20 years, with ups and downs. I actually joined WW in 2011 and did lose about 22 lbs over the course of about a year or so. I…

I love wine too:), but I try to treat myself no more than 3 days a week and if I have any I have just one glass. It's not good to deny yourself the things you love, but the key is moderation and also to save some calories if you indulge. Good luck!

Hi Katie, welcome. I just joined MFP at the beginning of this month and have lost 4 lbs so far. Please feel free to add me as a friend. I log in every day and it's helped me so much to have pals to help me continue my progress in losing the weight that I've always wanted to! Good luck!

I use unsalted butter for cooking and butter w/ olive oil as a spread. I know there are more calories, but it's natural. I just don't use a lot of it, but a little goes a long way!

Hi, I just sent you a friend request. I just joined MFP on the 11th of July and don't have too many friends right now either. I have lost 4lbs though and love being able to be encouraged as well as give encouragement to others trying to achieve the same goals. Feel free to add me!

I've noticed that since joining MFP just 2 weeks ago that varying the exercise is key. I've lost 4 lbs over the last few weeks and I've been trying to do a variety of cardio as well as weights 2-3 x a week. I am anxious to see what I've lost measurement wise, I do this on August 1, but my clothes are already feeling more…

What has been working for me at night when I feel like I want to have something is I make myself a hot cup of either coffee or tea and drink a lot of water. I put truvia sweetener in the coffee or tea so it has hardly any calories, but the hot beverage seems to satisfy my need to have something in the evening w/o setting…

Wow, what an amazing accomplishment! I don't have as much weight to lose, but still have battled the yo-yo weight roller coaster since having my first baby almost 27 years ago. Thanks for sharing your inspirational story, I hope to finally lose the weight that I need to lose and keep it off once and for all!

Feel free to add me as a friend. Everyone needs motivation in the beginning. I am new to MFP too and have started exercising again after a long period of not being active. Already feeling better and want to stay motivated as well. Welcome :-)

Congratulations! I just joined this month, so far so good, lost 3.5 lbs since beginning of July when I started exercising too. What tips can you give to someone just starting out? Again, congrats, that is fantastic!

It's amazing once you start tracking your food how much you begin to be aware of how much you really were eating before you started this program. I'm still very new to MFP, but have already lost 3.5 lbs since starting on July 11. I have really begun to think about each and every thing I eat and it is a wake up call for me.…

Do you happen to know the nutrition facts, these sound sooo good and just need to know how to track it in the food diary. I really have a sweet tooth today, may just have to try them out tonight!
