  • Genius. I have never heard of this. I'm certainly going to try it!!!
  • Right?? I had puberty, my mother passing away and an injury which caused me to quit ballet and dance all at the same time, plus normal teen angst. I know for me it was definitely emotional eating. It feels really....therapeutic to feel in control.

  • Way to go!! I can't wait to get there! I'm working towards hopefully doing a 5k soon :)

  • I got both of my Achilles tendons/gastrocs lengthened (my surgeon kind of...made up a surgery for my specific condition, so the incisions were higher than Achilles but lower than a true gastroc) and I'm a year and a half out and /just/ starting to get back into dancing like I used to and running. This is not to discourage…
  • I would maybe do week one, and if its not a workout, do the first day of week two. For me, I ended up having to lengthen the first week by two days because it was killing me, but since then its been smooth sailing. Still, I wouldn't skip a week without trying it.

  • Hourglass, but it reads as an inverted triangle because my arms aren't very toned..unfortunately, you cannot choose where you lose weight, so I'm sure I'll be all arms when this is through since that's the part that bothers me the most. ;)
  • I just started week 3 last night and wasn't quite successful...but I did week 2 in only three days which is a SUPER big deal for me since I recently got a surgery that changed my stride COMPLETELY. I thought I was never going to finish week 1 because I had to train myself to walk and then run all over again. It feels…
  • I don't keep it in my purse, but I keep low-fat, individually wrapped cheese sticks and pistachios in the fridge/in my desk at work. I find that these fill me up and help me avoid treats and candy jars that people like to bring into the office :)
  • 2 poached eggs with a low-fat colby cheese stick and a piece of fruit...I've been eating it so often that my dad bought me an egg poacher! Ahahaha.
  • Is there a law about ratios? I don't know if its state-by-state or if you're even in the same country as me, but I used to work at a daycare, and we had a whole book full of, like, mathematical equations that told us exactly how many students we could have. I worked in the 3-5 y/o room, and I never had more than 12,…
  • 5'1" 150 41-31-38 I'm working on it :) ahahaha
  • Lady Carolyn North Gries.... It's a little bland compared to everyone elses!
  • I understand how its frustrating. My future in-laws think I'm golden, so every time I go down there and try to control what I eat, they're always like "You're beautiful just the way you are!" I know its well meant, and quite frankly, I prefer that to "you're a fat cow" or something! Ahahahaha, but it feels a little weird…
  • This is what I do. My fiance and I like to eat at smaller restaurants or local restaurants and I just try to guess and eat especially well for the rest of the day.
  • 23 y/o, 5'2" and 150 lbs, trying to get down to about 120. Add me :) I'm looking for more friends! I've been doing this for a long while, but I really haven't been doing well. Maybe more friends will help to motivate me :)
  • I hear you! I'm kind of trying to do the same thing. On and off for about a year and want to really get serious. I'll be your friend! I could use the motivation too!
  • Mine did the same thing...according to BF%, I should lose ten pounds...but I don't think ten pounds would make me happy. I feel like it might be because of my measurements? Like, on paper it sounds like I'm pretty hourglass, but I feel like I don't carry it like that. Plus, I'm super short so I feel like the amount they…
  • Wow, that's exactly how I used to walk. I probably have a bit lingering. Thanks!
  • Thanks! Yeah, before surgery I had intense pain in knees, lower back, shins....well, just everywhere from my shoulders down. Now its only this very sharp, localized pain in just that one spot, so I'm not complaining ;) It just concerns me; I don't want to be wearing the wrong shoes because my doctor said I may need a calf…
  • I hear you. The same thing kind of happened to me I think its the winter; its designed to make us want mashed potatoes and hot chocolate and curl up on the couch (that's whats been killing me). I too would like to share in the hearing of motivation!
  • Bummer, I hadn't had time to read it. I was going to when work slowed down... :(
  • Yeah, I got achilles tendon lengthening (not the technical name...but that is more understandable ahahaha), and I weigh pretty much the same as before it, but while I was chubby before, I could still go up and down stairs, compete in ballroom dancing, etc. without feeling fat and out of shape. Now...even though the weight…
  • Ahahaha, its hard not to be a scale addict when its right there in the bathroom!! Naw, I know a lot of it is just weight fluctuation. Its not so much weight that I'm trying to lose, I'm just trying to get back in shape from surgery. But I figured while I'm at it, I might as well try and lose a some weight. I'm definitely a…
  • Yeah...my weekends are kind of the opposite. I work at the renaissance faire, so I walk around in super heat in....about 20 lbs of tapestry fabric. Because of the corset, its often difficult to eat much if at all (which is VERY bad, and I have been forcing myself to drink like....tomato juice and naked juice to try and at…
  • Oh thanks! I guess I didn't realize that there could be a four pound weight fluctuation...I want to lose weight, but I don't want to do it unhealthily. You just always hear little warnings that you shouldn't lose more than 2 lbs a week, yadda yadda. I just had surgery too, so I had been losing weight really really fast…
  • My family is OBSESSED with garlic and onions...luckily I got a guy who is too :) He doesn't mind garlic breath.
  • I'm about 5'2" and my goal right now is 120lbs. It'll be about 35 pounds from where I started, and it'll be approximately the weight I was before: my mom died (and I ate and ate), puberty (and that was awesome...) and then feet issues...I don't know what I will look like because of my girly curves that I've gotten since…
  • I have been walking (as a sort of post surgery present to myself, I adopted a little puppy named Achilles), but its hard when I'm not allowed to do anything ballistic like running, jumping, or anything too strenuous really (even after 6 MONTHS! Its driving me crazy, all I want to do is go)...but thank goodness for the…
