  • Thanks Maddy. I am quite unfit at the moment but used to be a fairly strong swimmer, so I'm reasonably comfortable in the water.
  • Thank you so much for this information, it is extremely useful. I partly want to bump this thread up to make it easier for me to find, but also I have a question for you experienced swimmers. I need to keep my heart rate below 120ish (70% Maximum Heart Rate) for medical reasons. Will gentle freestyle swimming achieve this?
  • Hi I have balance issues so riding a normal bike is no longer safe. My first trike was professionally converted from a mountain bike, but I cooldn't learn not to lean in corners so I fell off a few times, including when I was carrying my baby sion the back.I recently bought a recumbent trike and I love it! I would agree…
  • Hi If you're running I really, really recommend a proper running shoe. They will cushion the impact and help avoid injuries to ankles, knees, hips and back (I refuse to get onto any discussion about barefoot running). My current pair is Brooks Beast, and I think they're great.
  • Love the video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Seemed pretty clear to me that it was supposed to be a simple, clear guide to the basics, and as such only covered 95% of what people need to know.
