  • Sounds like you need more structure to your day and I know it is a lot easier when you are working because you typically have a set start time, lunch and end of day. I would suggest first trying to develop some structure. Eat your meals at the same time everyday, if you exercise try to do this at the same time every day. I…
  • Are you hungry? If not, don't eat the calories. I only worry about calories if I'm under 1200 per day. If you have to eat something I would try fruit, 6 or so almonds, or I like the fiber bars and they have a couple under 100 caleries. Godd luck.
  • I don't think it is good to totally give up an entire food group. I would make sure it is truly 100% whole grain (read your labels) and you have to exercise, it will convert the carbs to energy. My doc said the best form of exercise is interval training, so if you run do a walk run interval or if you walk increase the…
  • I use my food scale, couldn't make it through a day without it. I like to be as accurate as possible with the amount of food I'm eating; it gives me a good idea where adjustments are needed.
  • I don't like anything sweet in my coffee but I love my half-n-half, so I drink my coffee with 2 tlbsp of fat free half-n-half (my mug which equals about 3 cups of coffee). I can't tell the difference in regular half-n-half and fat free and I've been told that I'm a coffee snob. No matter what I always measure the cream…
  • Morning All, just marking the location. I'll try posting this afternoon.
  • It is unhealthy to eat less than 1200 per day, so I make sure my net calories are at leat 1200. As for eating, I ask myself if I'm hungry, if the answer is no, I try to focus in on why I want to eat. My thinking is eventually this will help me take control of my eating habits. At the end of the day I eat what I want as…
  • White potatoes are ok but yams or sweet potatoes are better. I would also say it depends on what you are putting on it. My method is too eat what I want or have a taste for and put it in my tracker, so if I run out of calories before the end (which I havent' yet) of the day I would eat veggies to ensure I don't go too far…
  • I have a weekly goal but I track my calories daily to ensure I don't go over my weekly goal. I slack up a little on the weekends but my goal is always to stay at or slightly under my daily goal.
  • If you are looking strictly at a dalily goal I would say no. However, if you are looking at a weekly goal and you are allotted 14,000 per week to lose your weekly goal, say 1 pound per week, as long as you are under the 14,000 you should attain your weekly goal. Hope that makes sense.
  • I've read in several health articles that you should not eat less than 1200 calories a day, doing so slows your metabolizum (sp). If you are over the 1200 and not hungry I would not worry about the additional cals. you earn.
  • HorrorChix89, I would be more concerned about why you don't have energy. If you have not been to the doctor's office in a while I would suggest getting blood work. You may need iron or there could be some other cause, especially if exercise does not boost your energy. If you've been to the doc. office, I would first try…
  • No you should not go to the gym, the rule of thumb is... if you have respitory issues don't workout, if it is just a head cold go for it and make sure you wipe everything down so the rest of us don't catch the germs.
  • 1. Fresh fruit 2. Boneless Chicken 3. Brocolli 4. Milk 5. Frozen shrimp
