There's lots of testimonials on Youtube from people who have done juice cleanses. I did a three day cleanse when the scale stalled on me back in June - I lost 7 pounds and the scale started moving again after that.

Beets can be very strong, personally I use just half a beet per juice. The beet greens are edible, you can add those to juice as well - just be sure to wash them first. I don't log my exercise and just try to keep my calories between 1200 - 1600. If you are eating at least 1200 calories and things are working for you, I wouldn't worry about it.
