I do, a couple of times a week. In fact drinks - tea, coffee, lattes and wine are the "snacks" in my diet which isn't probably nutritionally too sound and I'm trying to improve on that!

I was putting weight on a few years back when I was drinking more, but I don't think it was just the alcohol calories, also the food I was eating, craving greasy food with drinks and the next day. I still have wine a few times a week but I try to earn calories at the gym first and eat sensibly, it seems to work.

My mum's got bad arthritis in her knees and has starting doing a water aerobics class - she says the pain eases a fair bit for several hours afterwards and it's an easy going class for older people so not too strenuous.

I love walking, I can walk for hours - it might not burn many calories but it's good for my head

I've discovered Triumph sports bras, though I'm in Australia I buy them from Myers & they are expensive but worth it. I still need a tight top on to run, but big improvement on any other brand I've bought.

Hi, ask at the gym for them to create a program, they'll show you how to use the machines and start you off on lower weights, you can gradually increase the weights as you feel stronger and more confident. I love my weights program and they change it every 6-8 weeks so I don't get bored.

Hi Margaret, I'm turning 43, I've yo-yo'd most of my adult life, much harder as I get older. MFP is great, it keeps me honest:smile:

Hi there, I'm turning 43 and have had to battle with food & exercise all my life just to maintain my weight, I think I put on weight just looking at cake - not looking forward to menopause - I can see we won't get along!

Hi, I'll add you - I sometimes do the emotional eating/drinking thing too

I do some weights at the gym, do a search under Cardio for Strength training/weight lifting, it's wrong but that's where I found it

I log every day, even if it's a bad one and I'm over my calories.

I like to have yoghurt or raw nuts after a workout, protein of some sort

Hi Naomi, I'm trying to give up sugar and processed meals, it's very difficult, there's added sugar in nearly all supermarket food. I once read that sugar is "the devil's crystal"

Hi Deborah, I'm new too and understand the complacency. I'll add you
