  • Bahaha, no. If I had a shake for breakfast I'd be eating lunch at 9AM. The delicious breakfast I am literally currently eating. -bagel thin -two fried eggs -two slices turkey bacon Total calories: 350, and worth every single one.
  • Superstore has Blue Menu bacon-style turkey that are only 30 calories per giant slice and also delicious.
  • ^ Yeah. Most women just gain weight on the pill because it coincides with the beginning of a more serious relationship. And what do couples do together? Eat. A lot. At restaurants and at home. We ladies end up eating the same kinds of foods that our guys do... and the same portions. I sure did. That being said, starting a…
  • I lost 15ish pounds before I started. At first I used my MFP starting weight on my ticker, but I found it more encouraging to use my original starting weight so I changed it. PS you can change it on your ticker by editing your check-ins and adding one dating to before your first REAL MFP check-in.
  • Getting there, slowly but surely.
  • You really should air pop it, buy you don't actually need to have an air popper. Just put the kernels in a paper lunch bag, fold the top a few times, and microwave that. Super easy. I eat mine sprinkled with vinnegar and salt. (Like salt and vinnegar chips, but a fraction of the calories!) Or sometimes plain with salt.…
  • I don't suck it in... but stick my chest out to make my tummy look smaller and I don't wear shirts that actually show any tummy. =P
  • I read on some other dieting site that it's really common, because your body is used to moving through a certain volume of food that is probably much smaller once you start dieting. Plus less junk and all that. Try drinking lots of water, and maybe taking a softener to make things easier.
  • I always get TOM headaches too. I hadn't considered that they were food-related, but I find that during that part of the month I am super thirsty and need about twice as much water going into me. The headaches are usually better after a few litres of water, which never happens any other time of the month.
  • My start weight was about 205 pounds, and I'm down to 157 right now. My next goal is 145, but I have no idea what my end goal should be. This is already the smallest I've been since, well, probably middle school. Pictures!
  • I am a very short 5'6". Here are my newest pictures.
  • I'm not really sure what works for me. I'm not really a goal-oriented person at anything in life. I just work as hard as I can and appreciate any results that come from it. In weight loss I chose 160 (from 205) as a goal only because that's what I weighed in high school. But I rarely thought about that number and I didn't…
  • Nice job. I can especially see it in your face.
  • I started at about a 40DD, and thirty pounds later switched to a 36D. It's getting pretty big on me now though. I think I need to get a fitting.
  • I've been using MFP since February, add me. =)
  • Mmm. 3 months, going from 205-175 pounds. I slowed down to 4-5 pounds/month after that though. The more you have to lose the quicker it'll go.
  • I don't mind Molson Canadian 67. Tastes the same as regular Canadian, but light beer is like that. The new Sublime flavour is alright, but not beer-y enough for me. Honestly, I've gone back to regular beer. A bottle of Alexander Keith's (my favourite) is only 145 calories, and I can make room for that once in a while.
  • Goodness, my heart goes out to everyone here who has shared an awful story. People are so cruel. I was bullied nonstop through school for being overweight, and it really affected my self esteem. For years I was terrified to go out in public by myself because I couldn't stand what I thought people were thinking about me. I…
  • Honestly, I don't log milk in coffee. Or stuff like mustard on food. =O But I used to, so I know how many calories there in everything I eat anyway. If I have a half cup of almond milk (20 calories) and two tablespoons of mustard (also 20 calories) I just make sure I leave at LEAST that many calories at the end of the day.…
  • I make healthy treats with carob instead of cocoa. Carob has more nutrients and is naturally sweeter so it isn't packed with all the sugar and crap that chocolate (yes, even delicious dark chocolate) is. No caffeine either, so no crash.
  • I noticed that old clothes that hadn't fit in ages could comfortably fit in 10-20 pounds, and now at 45 pounds my old clothes are clown clothes on me. I can't believe how big they are when they used to fit so well! As for other people, my boyfriend noticed that I was smaller in my midsection and back within like 5 pounds,…
  • Popcorn! Air popped with no butter, of course, to make it a great diet snack. I eat mine with vinnegar and a bit of salt to curb chip cravings.
  • I'm dealing with all of the bloating and cravings right now too, and they show in my food journal and on the scale, lol. Exercise, protein, and lots of water help me. Which I say while I consider eating chips and ice cream for dinner. BAD.
  • Mine WAS 160 because that's the lowest I remember weighing in high school. And I finally hit it earlier this week after six long months! Now I think 150 because I can't really imagine myself weighing so little. Gosh, I think I'd faint if I saw the scale in the 140s.
  • I don't think that walking 30 minutes three days a week would have a substantial influence on stamina or weight loss, unless you are starting after years of an extremely sedentary lifestyle and have a serious amount of excess weight. In that case it can be a great start. Otherwise that amount of walking should be…
  • At parties I eat whatever in moderation since they're a special occasion, but try to fill up on veggies. At pubs and restaurants I order grilled fish or a veggie burger with a side salad. It's not a big deal to indulge on these occasions once in a while as long as you stay within your calorie restriction or don't go over…
  • Nachos! You know, as a reward. =P But seriously. I just don't want to be the fat girl anymore. All my life that's what people have noticed about me first and that's my default role. I want a new identity! I want to just fit nicely into a crowd without feeling like everyone around me is labelling me the fat girl.
  • If you don't like running then walking works to tone your legs too. Especially if you walk up a lot of stairs. At home I guess you could try step aerobics. That's pretty fun, too.
  • Popcorn! Also barley. I eat it like rice or quinoa. It's also delicious.
  • I liked to eat entire pizzas. And there was no way I could open a big bag of chips and not eat the entire thing. Okay, I still can't do that. I don't buy chips anymore for a reason! And I make much healthier (and smaller) pizzas now too. Hoorah.
