Suzanne - Oh no! Sorry to hear about the glucose test. Let us know how the second test goes. I took my test Wednesday and think they will have the results next week. I guess they also test for iron deficiencies and blood infections. I wouldn't be surprised if the iron was low. I can never meet the daily requirement. That…

Some days are definitely better than others when it comes to energy. Some days I'm go go go and others, I'm asleep by 6pm. I still sleep ok, but I'm sure its thanks to our new bed. What a life saver! Last pregnancy I was in the recliner by now due to heart burn and comfort. Took the glucose/diabetes liquid today. Not…

Thanks Suzanne for your tip. I have no clue on the vein issue either - yes keep us posted! Yes, Water is very key. I can tell I haven't been very good at that this last week. Need to get back on the water train too. Toot-toot! Poke - good luck meeting the deadline for your C-section. Four days should be good I would think,…

I have the diabetes testing on the 5th so it's still 1.5 weeks away and the solution is chilling in the fridge. Will have to read the directions...but are you supposed to fast? I know you take it 30 min before the appointment, but you're not supposed to eat that morning -is that right? I don't remember. Welcome Katie. We…

Congrats! Good for you. I hope I can say that too!!! I didn't know there was a post partum group, but that doesn't surprise me. I guess we'll see you on the other side once we get there. lol.

It's ok you can make better choices from here on out. Talk to your doctor before starting any "exercise routine" as they don't recommend starting anything vigorous if your body isn't used to working out already. I'm sure just adding a daily 30 min walk would be fine though. Find a manageable calorie intake like 2000-2300…

Ahhh you guys make me laugh. Re: glow & hair. Summer - Congrats on the new arrival! How exciting and scary. 4lbs seems so small, I'm glad he is doing ok and hope he comes home soon. Just goes to show, you can plan all you want, but you never know how it will go - even if it's not your first child. I have no idea…

Yes, nesting in full swing. The boys will share a room (although I do need to move the spare bed out and put that in the spare room/computer room/sports room/craft room. I went online looking for a second dresser for the boys room and found a beautiful antique dresser that I'll fix up and put in my room. The boys can have…

I had no idea it was that cheap either. I may have to look at groupon now and request it as my xmas gift lol.

That's funny that your kid's clothes fit better. :) I can only wear maternity at this point. I just took my waist measurement at it shows 42" pre-baby and 46" currently. That doesn't make sense to me because I'm so much bigger, but maybe 4" makes a difference??? Yes, I will definitely work on grazing and eating more…

I've been having numbness/prickling pain in thighs (yes I know totally different but sort-of related) and the Dr. said it was because the baby was low and sitting on a nerve. I need a belly band (see, this is where kind of related) to help hold the baby/belly up. Thought I'd share in case anyone else was going through…

Saw the doc today and he mentioned that I would start to have those hunger cravings like you mentioned Kristen. BUT...even though I've only gained 14 lbs (week 24), he wants me to go on a diet. That's depressing. I thought I was doing really good, granted I haven't been logging for the last several weeks. Well, guess I…

Alyson - seriously 21 lbs is really really good. I gained 65 with my first. You are doing just fine.

Summer - Good luck changing doctors. I changed doctors from the last pregnancy to this one. I just didn't get a good signals during the last birth. This doctor should be good. Both are male. I really don't have a preference on the gender of the doctor. After the first kid, all modesty/privacy is out the window anyway.…

Finally got the bill for the "mother 35+" testing...after $1300 in adjustments, $630 covered by insurance, Out of pocket is $450. Ouch. Still not the $1000 someone mentioned on here a while back, but wasn't really expecting that cost. Oh the joys of various baby related bills appearing in the mail.

Hi ladies! How is everybody? Been off for a bit due to busy work projects, but the boss is out of town so I can play catch up now. :) Welcome Brittany! Hope the diabetes tests come back ok. Even if they don't, at least it's manageable. :) I've gained 10 lbs in 21 weeks through tracking and eating better than I did my first…

Oh that sucks....sorry to hear that Summer. Good luck on the fasting. I hope you don't get nauseous. Let us know how it goes.
