I've had it done on both feet, but that was a long time ago. I had my foot in a cast for quite some time, so what I did for exercise was instead of using crutches in the house, I would hop on my good foot/leg. I managed to get around pretty well while hopping :) Got my heart rate up! Good luck on your surgery. I loaded up…

Hi, I don't have any advice as to what exercises you could do. I have had the same surgery as you many years ago, on both feet, but separate times. I'm sure you'll do fine, just want you to know that I'm thinking about you.

I can't run on the treadmill because I have degenerative arthritis and bone spurs in my back. So, I walk on my treadmill with speed set between 3.8 and 3.7 beginning at 8% incline and then increasing by .5% every mile until I reach 10%. My goal is 4.75 miles total. I do lower the % the last mile to cool down. I don't have…

I have a PolarFT7 and love it, my food scale is made by Taylor (Biggest Loser Scale) cost me about $30 at Walmart.

What kind of HRM do you have? I have a PolarFT7 and when I walk at a fast pace on my treadmill for 70 minutes, it says I burn 538 calories. I'm 56 years old, 5ft.4 at 105 pounds. So, I would say that yours is pretty accurate.

Nuts and nut butters are good for you and contain fat, the good fat. High in calories too. I make my own nut butters and trail mix. My trail mix consists of raw almonds, raw cashews, raw sunflower seeds, unsweetened coconut, and raisins. Sometimes I'll throw in a few carob chips.

Yes, the scale I just bought from Walmart has the Tare function. I've been playing around with it, getting used to it. I looked at the raisin box and it said 1/4 cup (40g) is 130 calories. I first put the measuring cup on the scale, then hit the Tare button, I was surprised to see just how much in raisins there was! I'm…

I have a PolarFT7 and I love it! I know you're wondering what the differences are, I don't really know. My husband has one also, we wear the chest strap when we do our workouts. It's so comfortable that you forget you're wearing it. If you do get a Polar, you won't be disappointed.

I am sensitive to all those, and more, so what I eat is eggs, GF bread that I get at Costco (it's yummy!), brown rice cakes, almond butter, cashew butter (make my own), chicken, salmon, raw almonds, raw cashews, brown rice pasta, lots of veggies, yams, halibut, low sugar fruit. I drink hemp and rice milk. Basically, a very…

I just started making my own cashew butter, it's so easy to do and so much cheaper than commercial. I buy raw cashew pieces in bulk, $2.77 a pound. Put 4 cups in my food processor with a pinch of salt, that's it! Takes a while, approximately 30 minutes, with rests in between to give the processor a break! It's absolutely…

I have a lot of food sensitivities, so I have learned over the years what to eat. I eat a very clean diet, no processed food, except when my hubby and I splurge on dining out. I'd be happy to share with you what I eat.
