Yes I agree. What I do not understand is, even if someone is less of a person or inferior to someone else, still, Why do people go to such great lengths to cause trouble for other people. It seems as if really it has nothing to do with customers feeling like cashiers are uneducated or inferior. IT happens to be whenever a…

Don't ask "paper or plastic" anymore then. Just do paper. You are clearly not ready for plastic. Or maybe even customers. [/quote] First off, I cannot just decide to do "paper." I dont think you know what cashiers do and or are suppose to do. First off, trainers and supervisors tell cashiers and reinforce to them that only…

No one is perfect I agree, but i dont think everyone has done something to ruin a cashier's day. Those are pretty strong words. Sure i may have wanted something in a certain bag or asked for a price check. But does that qualify for ruining a person's day. I think not.

Customers should not (1) take an item out of cashier’s hand while item is over scanner are and customers should not (2) take an item out of cashier’s hand. And if customer asks cashier for item, customer should not be allowed to take several or more items out of cashier’s hand. (2) Customers should not be allowed to take…

CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC BAGS FROM OFF THE HOOKS WITH ITEMS INSIDE AT THE "SAME TIME" THE CASHIER IS REMOVING THE "SAME" PLASTIC BAG WITH ITEMS IN IT FROM OFF THE "SAME" HOOKS. THIS IS IN REGARDS TO THE SAME PLASTIC BAGS OFF THE SAME HOOKS THE CASHIER USES TO PUT ITEMS IN AFTER SCANNING ITEMS.…

(1) When i was a cashier and was working for one of the best supermarkets in America, about 3-4 times a day a customer in my line would tell me that they had forgotten their debit and or credit card needed for the transaction. Whats strange is that majority of them dont even ask me if they could go and get it outside. Alot…

Im not so sure if this ever happened to any of you, but alot of customers just cant stay still while im ringing up their register. They are constantly moving up and down my line. They are looking at the magazines, but mainly the candy and things along the line. Instead of standing in one place they would rather turn their…

First off, a person shouldn't have to do strength training in order to do a cashier's job. If someone has to do "strength training" in order to do a cashier's job then something is very very wrong. What I'm trying to say is a cashier should haven't to do any fancy exercise or go through strength training. I believe that…

One thing that I would like to ask people who are and or use to be cashiers is, when customers want to bag their own groceries, have you seen alot of customers take items from off the scanning area "before" putting items in the bags? For example, i have worked in some of the best supermarkets in the country and my…

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CUSTOMERS BAGGING THEIR OWN GROCERIES ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS A LAZY OR INCOMPETENT CASHIER. BUT WHAT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IS WHEN CUSTOMERS WILL TAKE ITEMS OUT OF CASHIER’S HAND ONE BY ONE BEFORE THE CASHIER CAN EVEN PUT THE ITEM DOWN OR PUT OR SLIDE THE ITEMS SO IT CAN GET TO THE BACK. A LOT…

This is regarding customers. I have worked as a grocery store cashier for 4 years. Please spread the word about what goes on because i have experience just about everything. If you are a customer: (1) Do not take an item(s) out a cashier's hand after you ask him or her if they are done. Only ask the cashier something if…
