...oh, and why do men do that? I think it's because we get "programmed" into thinking "Candy makes wifey happy. She doesn't look happy. Bring candy."

My wife is a pretty short lady. When I first met her she was...not exactly chubby, but rather rubenesque. I was really skinny. After a couple of years, I got big and she got small. Funny thing I noticed however, is that whenever I loose weight, she gains (and vice versa). I think its because she doesn't finish her food,…

Not sure why it's called Star Ship Troopers. Only thing they took from the book was the character names. Now, if it was based on the book...AWESOME! I mean, armored combat suits. Mobile infantry. Need I say more?!?

+1 for Firefly. Why did they have to cancel it? Really.... and I guess +1 for BSG too (new one). BTW, I heard that they're redoing the original Cyclon War.

I'm not expert (really, I'm not!) but I don't think of that stuff works. You build and tone muscle by using it. You burn calories by exercising. I don't think clothes can make you do it.

Lots of green veggies!!!! Low in cals, filling. Oh, and coffee. Yeah, coffee.

I usually use green veggies (which are low in calories) to make me feel full when I'm almost out of calories for the day. Also, an occasional splurge with a whole box of cookes to "reset your adjusted metabolism" is perfectly acceptable.

That explains one of my coworkers....

I do a lot of work outdoors on manlifts, about 30+ feet in the air. The weight maximums on those things are often around 250lbs. With me and my tools I was getting close to that limit.....

Cool. I've been stuck in the plateau since middle of last month.

Yep. Always.

Like a vampire in that stupid teenie-bopper movie?

What is acceptable to your palette?

I personally am not very fond of fish either (I'm allergic to some too), so I've had the same kind of problem. I've found that turkey is a good low-carb cure-all type of food. Buying a cook book is well worth it. I personally LOVE indian food, and a lot of it is pretty healthy, and it's EASIER to cook than it tastes. Easy…

I'm stuck at 10 to go for the past two weeks....ughhh... I've cheated like once since then. My scale says I'm at 52% water.... I'm running at least 1/2 an hour every day or more. Hopefully I'll see some movement soon or I'm gonna go get a large gauge needle, a hose, and a vacuum....

Rogan Josh, with beef instead of lamb. (It's a REALLY good Indian dish). I'm skipping the Naan to keep in my calorie goals. If I had it, I would have to run an extra 2 miles...ugh....

I used to be on track when I was in highschool, 10 years ago or so. 3 weeks ago I just started running again. I mapped out a 1.5 mile circle course, and just started going. I ran as far as I can, then walked enough to recover enough. Then I ran again as far as I could. I was only going about a block each set. Next time, I…

I'm wanting to do this too! What kind of special training did you do to get ready for it?
-
I started 2 weeks ago, and have been pushing myself to go just a little bit farther each time, a little bit faster, to finish a mile and a half. I figured I should push myself to see if I can do 2 miles. And I did. I know it's only 7% of a marathon, but I think when I have more time I'm going to see if I can train to do…

Like it.

Good to have all of those in one place!!!
