When I grew out of my winter coat and needed to buy a new one, no nice models in my size, only a shapeless potato bag which I was not planning to buy no matter what!

Totally this! I don't eat after 5 PM, but I'm not hungry when I go to bed. Why not? I eat way much more then that and lose weight with it!

Cold? It suppose to be -20 to -30 degrees Celsius here, but ever since Xmas we hardly hit 0. That are no winter temperatures for northern Sweden. Way too hot, I am walking outside with my coat open :huh:

What ever reason people may have, no one is the same and will feel the same. I guess most of us here on MFP feel like we want to be slim(mer) and in shape, but some people really don't feel the need and are happier the way they are, with some extra baggage. A good friend of mine also doesn't want to lose till 'normal'…

I ate it a lot, used to be a true chocolate addict. Hasn't been bothering recently tho, but I did lose weight with chocolate. Go for pure, 70% or higher and in moderation, not more then 40 grams a day. I got a few bars at home, 90% and 99%.

I had a plateau as well for quite a long time. What helped me breaking through is eating between 8 AM and 5 PM, eating from a smaller plate, chewing my food properly, so I feel when I am full and know when to stop eating, adding fish oil to my diet, eating most of my carbs in the morning around my workouts, increasing the…

I just loveeee the winter! I am absolutely no summer person, way too hot! I love 'plowing' through the snow, I love the scenery, I love the moonlight twinkling in the snow like zillions of glitters, I love the aurora boralis like colored mist dancing above the stars. Good thing I live in the Arctics :smile:

It seems to me that people think supporting them is telling them what they want to hear, instead of what they need to hear. I would love to have friends kicking my butt seriously when I fall off the wagon, instead of ow well this one time, or what ever. I have done it as well and have seen it is not always appreciated.…

Welcome! I also never had any idea what I was eating and thought it couldn't be that bad, because it's only healthy stuff. But with filling in my food diary I came to the shocking conclusion my carb and calorie intake were beyond what was good for me, towards 3000 cal. a day! So, I guess if you fill in your food diary…

I agree with this! I have the same problem and I am planning to have my hormones checked, like thyroid.

physical exercise can improve the the mental state of a person. People over all feel mentally better after exercising. I know in Holland for example running therapy is used against depressions.

I hear you. I started already when I turned 30, I didn't like it a single bit. Now in my 40s I still got it. I dread getting older.

Luckily the weight has been dropping again, I'm half way. Never again I want to see those 3 digits I tell you! Unfortunately living in the Arctics there is no gym here, so I can't go there. I make my gym at home and can't wait to get my new workout gear :smile:

All scales are different. Go for the measuring tape instead! That tells you more about your progress.

On and off Paleo for years already, mostly I eat only fresh products and home made, it's just the diary products which I do allow so now and then, cheese is a weakness.

If it is scientifically proven or not, my experiences are what comes off fast, comes back on just as fast. I would go for slow. Weight loss is not a race, you didn't gain it in a few weeks either.
