I walk. Slow pace at first, then pick it up as I warm up.

Don;t worry it is very simple, just a few lifestyle tweeks applied over time and you'll be successful. Here is what to do: 1) Food: Eat lean protean (chicken, fish, non fat milk). Lean protean should be a foundation of every meal. Eat all the veggis/greens you want - there is no need for you to ever be hungry. Be careful…

I make chili, stew in the crock pot freeze in single servings, and have them for lunch. There are some great low fat high protean chili's out there. For dinner I build off a single piece of lean protean (fish, chicken, pork loin) and add greens or vegges to it. Avoid starches and non-whole grains.

Check out the book: "New Rules of Lifting for Women" it will give you a good educational foundation and a number of workouts based on your specific situation.

Why not eat a healthy balanced meal every day?
-
Don't worry. it is NOT FAT. 5 lbs of fat is 17,500 cals. I doubt you ate 17,500 excess cals in a weekend! Its water.

Don't take a break, nor diet for that matter. Just adopt a healthy lifestyle you can live with (including good eating and physical activity), you'll loose weight without screwing you your metabolism.
-
I've found MFP estimates to be way off - typically high. I always use a HRM.
-
Think Thin Bar. 20 grams protean, 230 cals.
-
I change my lift program every 4 to 8 weeks, both in the specific lifts, but also weight tempo and rest. Some programs are full body some are split, so some months I'm doing full body, others not.

Does it matter? move on.

I do cardio and strength together. I can't run anymore, but i ride my bike, walk/hike and use the cardio machines at the gym. If found strength training really compliments my other activities - I'm a much stronger hiker and ride than I would otherwise be. Plus you'll look better naked if you lift.
-
I lift through it, maybe cut the weight a little. After a couple of work out the soreness will go away as your body gets used to it. Make sure you are gettign enough protean. I like to get 20-40 grams in me with 30 min of workout - you may need less. That is why I change my work out every 6-8 weeks, but that's a different…

There is a version of "New Rules" for women and a group on this site dedicated to it.

Here is an excellent book on the subject: "New Rules for Weight Lifting" It will give good foundation to work with. There is also nothing wrong with hiring a trainer.

This is going to vary depending on how overweight someone is. I lost 30 lbs in a little over 3 months as well. 4 you that is probable not realistic, but 30 lbs by June sounds very doable.

Preplan low cal drinks and bring them for you. Go a little lighter on the clothing than you normally would, your body will burn a little more keeping you warm. Make sure you all the clothing you need in case you need it, u don;t want to get hypothermia.

Could not agree more. See someone more qualified than a bunch random people on the Internet.
-
I'm going to enjoy it. I'm not into self denial. However, in the up coming weeks I'm going to work hard to earn it.

I found change you actions, eventually your brain will follow. make good food choices (lean protean, fruit & veggies - all the veggies you want) . Eventually you brain will think of food as fuel. But this reprogramming takes time and effort at first. Once your brain in reprogrammed, it gets so easy.

All you need are those dumbbells. With them you can do: Squats Lunges Dynamic Lunges Bulgarian Split Squats Bench Press Shoulder Press Bent Over Rows Without them you can do: Push Ups Planks Crunches of various kinds (mix em up) Google all of the above, in addition to instructions, I'm sure you'll find other ideas. Just do…

hiking, squats, lunges, push up, sit ups, jumping jacks....the list goes on and on.....

I gotta agree with this. Your going to get much better help than on an Internet board. Go to your husband and say, "hey I love you but this isn't working for me. You want me to be happy, right? You want to be happy with me, right? Then we need to figure this out."

Listen to your body, Eat!
-
Hi Jennifer, here is my two cents, I'd drop the word diet from your vocabulary and mindset. think of it as a lifestyle change. Simple changes in your eating habits and activity level will change your life, and last longer then a "diet" ever will. Good luck.

Exercise doesn't need to be boring. be creative. Ride your bike outside, go for a walk or jog at/to an interesting place. For gym work outs find a way to reward/motivate yourself. For example set a goal for each workout and reward yourself with a little chocholate if you achieve it.

Per you profile you have 2 kids, so you are not just making decisions for YOU.
-
Beer is probably the worst thing u can drink. I love a good IPA, but when I was losing I cut it out completely.

Given your exercise calculations are off site, I can't say for sure, but i wouldn't be at all surprised that your estimates of cals burned is high.
