  • I swear I never really understood weight watchers. then again, I never really took the time to read about it haha. I've always just looked at daily numbers and just recently started looking at weekly goals. thank you!
  • welcome to MFP! my highest weight was 271 but with logging my food on here, I have had a good amount of success so far! my diary is always open, feel free to add :)
  • okay cool thank you. I was thinking in terms of weekly numbers instead of daily, but in general I need to just not overeat at all haha. just wondering if it was acceptable every now and then. thanks guys!
  • definitely apply for food stamps and try to save every cent you have. I know its easier said than done, but I've been in the same boat only I was living in a tent in the woods. I used to walk all over town, there was a church that served free lunches three days a week. they had tons of can good as well as loaves of bread…
  • from what I know, you add in exercise separately so you would not include it. for example, I work a desk job but I also work out a few times a week but I chose sedentary so I can accurately log on the days that I'm not adding in exercise to my diary. so besides when youre exercising, are you on your feet a lot? running…
  • I also save a pretty big chunk of calories for the evening hours. lately all I've been eating is egg white omelets with cheese and salsa, wheat thins, fiber one brownies or cheddar pretzel thins. I never get sick of egg whites though lol you can eat a pretty good amount for 50-75 calories
  • hi! welcome to MFP! recording my food and exercise on here has been my saving grace with losing weight. although I'm still a baby (21 yrs old lol) I think that this website can help immensely with the weight loss process. besides my own motivation, I attribute a lot of my success to MFP. just keep doing what you're doing!…
  • I definitely think talking to your nutritionist will be the best way to get the answers you need in a kind and respectful fashion. I've learned to not ask the important questions on here. I hope you find what you're looking for and congrats on your amazing successes so far <3
  • inspiring story!! don't ever give up! I feel your pain, my highest was 271 lol but we can do this!!!
  • Congrats on making this huge first step! you can do this! I do want to say though, skip the fad diets/diet plans. I've found much more success in eating what I want within my calorie goals. I feel like restriction is what really causes failure in dieting. not to say atkins or the one meal a day diet WONT work, just that…
  • hey! I just recently recommitted to this journey, I know how you feel. around this time last year I was down to my lowest weight at 215 (my goal weight is 175ish) and I jumped allll the way back up to 250ish. my highest was 271, and now I'm at 232. I'm hoping to get below my lowest by my birthday in December!! anyone can…
  • Welcome!! okay so you can eat whatever you'd like, but just make sure its the right portion sizes. but since we only get to work with a certain amount of calories daily, a few of my go-to items are- -egg whites, green peppers and salsa for breakfast -grilled chicken/turkey burgers -pretzel crisps for a snack- you can have…
  • i know i'm basically beating a dead horse but It really is about correctly logging! I had no idea how off I really was with my logging until I started being honest with myself. just a few weeks ago I began measuring my coffee creamer, that was something I always just assumed I wasn't over indulging in but as it turns out I…
  • thank you very very much. it has been a very hard week and I know its going to be hard for awhile but I'm trying my best to look on the bright side
  • welcome! feel free to add me, my diary is always open :)
  • you are a very nice person! can you pay my rent too! haha no but seriously. I understand your frustrations, OP. I have noooooo money to afford a food scale at the moment, but I still do use measuring cups when I can. I always try to overestimate my portions and I have my calories set to a lower amount than what is…
  • I whole heartedly agree with all of this and I understand your original post. well put.
  • I had my office change the bagels, donuts and muffins on Saturdays to bagels and fruit instead! maybe if you could have a tray of healthy foods around, you'll at least have a choice instead of being surrounded by what you can't have
  • thank you all so much. I really appreciate all the kind words. so far so good with my eating habits, yesterday I actually stayed under my calories for the first time in a few days so that made me feel good. I'm still surprisingly not a complete mess so hopefully this trend continues. but thank you guys again I really can't…
  • hahaha I personally loved your distasteful language. thank you though. I know that gaining weight will only make me feel worse about everything. its hard not letting my damn brain control the game lol
  • I like the way you guys think :) thank you for the support. I've been eating like crap the past few days because things haven't been good with us which ultimately lead to our breakup this morning. so I'm hoping this will be motivate me to push even harder than before
  • I feel your pain :/ I originally lost 50lbs and ended up gaining more than half of that back. ever since, I've been struggling to meet my goals. Its been almost 3 months since I've recommitted and I don't have too much to show for it. All I can do is wake up every day and try again. Something I am going to start trying is…
  • I was the same way as a kid. my mom would always try to encourage me to lose weight, but I never wanted to. my advice would be to only keep good food in the house. if he sees you eating well everyday, it hopefully will become a habit for him! restrict his time with technology and take him out to a beautiful state park or…
  • ^^^ true. eat half!
  • im having a challenging day today and all your posts made me smile :) keep up the great work guys!
  • im having a hard day and reading this has really helped me. thank you for taking the time out to share <3
  • that is awesome! i am a smoker at the moment and it gives me hope to hear stories like this. thank you and congrats!
  • i completely understand where you're coming from and that is a HUGE success. I'm having a hard time with my job but given my circumstances, i have to stay here until i can find something better and it has been extremely difficult. kudos to you!
