I'm in a similar boat myself. I initially lost 50 pounds and gained more than half of it back :( I am currently in the process of re-losing and im finding it so hard to stay on track some days. but exercise is seriously your best friend. it will lift your mood like no other. I suffer from depression and anxiety and I…

see that is really cool about the diet sodas and salads and whatnot. and even though wine friday would be the death of me... WINE FRIDAY!!!!!!! AHHHHH haha im so jealous

thank you all so much for the feedback. yesterday i kinda binged on pizza hut after a fight with my boyfriend. but i logged every morsel and took a long walk by the river afterwards (i know i shoulda done this before eating everything lol.) and ended up burning 860 calories so there was no serious harm done. in the past, i…

I totally feel you. i have such a hard time with sweets specifically chocolate. basically butter and chocolate run my life lol so all the buttered bagels and chocolate cake around me make it so hard. today i have been snacking on grapes and apples though and i feel good. have you ever tried frozen grapes? i also enjoy…

im actually in the process of learning that i can't outrun my diet some days haha. it depends on what you consider 'bad' though. for me, i personally can't sustain 800+ calorie burns every day to make up for eating burgers and pizza. you eat a 900 calorie cheeseburger and the next thing you know you're hungry again. i was…

best- everything about your profile pic lol. your bod is rockin worst- nothin that the eye can see

I am glad so many others feel my pain. luckily i've changed donut saturdays to fruit and bagels! maybe if you all talk to your management team, they could consider offering fruits and veggies along with the sweets? dieting with an office job is seriously so hard lol i thought i'd have the most difficult time resisting food…

hahaha so great! that would make me happy too. even if it was a random girl telling me my booty is tight ;) how is this wrong if shes totally fine with it lol
-
i like the way you think ;) congrats on your loss. its very inspiring! i just recently hopped back on the MFP bandwagon again, my streak is now at 60 days! feels soooo good to be back. lets support each otha

i've found a cheat meal to be better. either a cheat meal with no workout or a cheat day with a workout. but whatever works best! regardless, i would suggest a cheat SOMETHING every now and then ;)
-
exactly! its all about the lifestyle change instead of the 'diet.' i wish you much success on your journey! and please keep the potato chips away from me as well. hahaha crab chips are my best friend/enemy haha
-
thank you! i wish you the best as well :)

eh thought it was worth a try lol

okay!

lets focus on the positives in what OP said and not the negative!
-
notice that right before and after she mentions the fast food... "you are beautiful and the first step should be to recognize that!' 'losing weight takes dedication and very hard work but you all can do it! healthy, positive and happy. peace and love to you all.'
-
sure but i dont think that was her entire motive with this post. when i first realized how horribly i was treating my body by indulging in lots and lots of fried foods, i was totally anti-fast food as well. it takes time to find the balance! i think OP just wanted to lift people up and show them that a healthy lifestyle is…

I think her point is to skip the fad diets and do it the right way :)

sometimes it will take a little bit so don't give up! my best suggestion is to accurately measure and record both food and exercise. always use measuring cups or a food scale, and to accurately track exercise i personally use a polar ft4 heart rate monitor. my weight loss has staggered lately because i'm NOT accurately…

thank you!! :)

that is a really great idea. i think i'll try that out! i tried to satisfy my cravings by working out a ridiculous amount so i have the extra calories but its not really workin out so well. i still end up overeating half the time somehow haha. but i think filling my day with good clean food and exercise and allowing a…

heyyy I have a desk job too! sittin at this damn desk as we speak haha. I initially lost 50lbs and gained half of it back, so right now I'm in the process of re-losing lol. Erica, 21, 5'9. SW-271 CW-234.6 (or something haha) GW-around 180 or so

all these responses really helped me too. as hard as it will be I'm gonna try logging my binges because I think that's the only way i'll realize how damaging it is. its a long hard road but we got this :)
-
i think logging my binges will help. i never ever ever log them. because i know that number will terrify me. i think that logging it, combined with getting exercise when i wanna binge, talking about how i feel, and buying pre packaged treats (and planning them lol) will really help. i can do this!! i know i can! thanks for…

YES! thanks guys, i'm hearing a lot of helpful stuff here. i am definitely gonna try to just get single servings of the foods i love, thats a good idea. and the meditation is something i want to try as well. i appreciate all the feedback, thank you all :)
-
that is awesome! i'm worried the cravings wont ever go away but i'm glad to hear that they DO go away lol
-
I understand that lol i am not new to this. i was just wondering if people physically felt better from cutting out bread
-
oh so you're on the wrong thread then. this is about the emotional issue, not the physical health! we all know obesity is unhealthy I mean there is no denying that. fat acceptance movement isn't your issue, you just have a problem with the health dangers of obesity in general and that's understandable

omg those both sound great! I wish I had the tools necessary to make all this stuff haha I can't wait to try
