Went shopping for clothes this summer for the first time in a long time and didn't have to go to the bigger sizes department.. I bought size L instead of XXL. My biggest nsv since I started this journey, it was a goal to be able to buy stylish clothes finally that I liked, not just buying whatever I found because it fit...

Thank you! Happy eid to you too :)

Awesome! You give me hope. :)

I can only think of one thing.. Not caring a bit about how I look. Now I'm starting to care again and I'm not used to it anymore. Haha.

I'm guessing this is one of those girdles you use after pregnancey to help recover faster from seperated abs..? I think those really do serve a purpose, many are also made so you can use them during pregnancy for support and then after to help you with posture and to start using your core correctly. I had separated abs and…

I think it's easy to feel like people are staring and judging because of what's happening in some western countries. Unfortunately. I hope it's not like that where you live but where I'm from (Sweden) hate is on the rise. A lot of staring, comments etc. That can make you a bit worried and you might be feeling that people…

My healthy range goes from 57 kg or something like that. I'm 180 cm and once lost weight to 68 kg and I looked sick. I just use BMI for fun, to celebrate that I'm out of the overweight range (yes, taking every chance to celebrate, lol), but I don't take it seriously. I go by how I feel and look.

I'm eating at a smaller deficit this time, I eat what I want and took the idea of "goal" out of my mind. After I reach the weight where I'm comfortable, the only thing I'll change is upping my calories but keep on tracking and exercising. I also am not burning myself out with exercise I don't like, I found pilates and I'm…

Amazing. Congratulations! :)

Just feeling good about my overall progress

Congratulations! Must have felt great.

Wa aleykum salaam, still here

I plan to do my pilates a few hours after iftar. Also probably swimming some days just before iftar. Great way to pass the last few hours before it's time to eat. :)

I suffer from anxiety attacks and depression too. It became better for a while when I started losing weight and exercising but now it seems like it's starting to show it's ugly face again.. Strange how it can just sneak up on you like that.. :open_mouth: Thank you for sharing your experience with us and best of luck.
-
Sure you can :) A lot of people eat out etc after iftar time so no problem.

A big pizza with lots of cheese... or maybe shawarma.

33?

I don't know much about ballet but I don't think this falls into that category.. :P Those of us who can't do squats etc have to make do with other ways.. :)
-
I plan to work out in the evening, a good while after breaking the fast.. But I do pilates, so it's slow paced.
-
I'm 180 cm tall and I have the same problem. Also, I can't do squats, lunges etc, so I needed to find another way. Pilates helps a lot and I've also been doing this workout lately: https://youtu.be/nUDqNuLsi8c It's really awesome. It may look easy, but it leaves me sore for days. I've only been doing pilates since…

Eating less and moving more than I used to.

Proof that the scale doesn't really tell you a lot about where you are on your journey, thank you for reminding me of that. You look great and a big congrats on all your amazing progress.

Nobody told me how people would suddenly tell me I will look ugly if I lose more.. I'm not even close to goal, haha. Don't really care though, they're just not used to me without my double chins anymore. Also, how vain I'd become. Oh my. I haven't cared at all about nice clothes, makeup etc in about a decade or so,…

I have to agree on the weighing in only once a week. My weight fluctuates like crazy even though I'm doing everything right, so weighing myself every day is out of the question. I look at the overall progress and try not to think about the short term ups and downs. Lost 14 kgs so far while taking Tegretol.
-
I'm taking Tegretol (carbamazepine) and losing weight. It's slow progress, but it's possible. I'm losing more slowly now than before I was taking it, don't know if it's because of the meds though. :)

Losing weight (14 kgs so far) with the help of less calories (and more healthy food) and following mainly pilates videos, and the occasional bodyweight strength training video.. All from Youtube. I wish I could go to a gym but I don't have one in my area so at home exercise will have to do.. I'm very happy with my…
