Dang.... Part of my post was cut off.... Anyway, I rarely use eggs anymore, only my own hens that are fed organic, have a very large coop and covered outdoor run for bad weather and a big fenced in yard to range in. You may want to check out a group here ' Happy Herbivores' Lots of vegetarian/vegan folks and links to…

Welcome to MFP Nurse too, long time vegetarian..... Not quite vegan for several months now ( I have backyard chickens - pets, pest control, walking yard ornaments, compost turners and most of my girls lay eggs

I grew up in Germany and we are quark plain, sweet and savory...... You can use it to make dressing - it's thicker than yogurt or sour cream but it works. We often ate small red potatoes with a side of savory quark: finely chopped onions and chives mixed with quark and some olive oil, vinegar, pepper and salt. I remember…

To the OP... I 'drink' some of my veggies too but I usually put some fruit (frozen berries, banana, fresh pineapple etc) in with the green and vegetables. I like the taste better with fruit added, often also add a cup of cashew milk (25 cal per cup). Easy to get plenty of veggies in that way. My nutribullet stays busy. I…

I have my own pet chickens ( no rooster, not allowed in town) that are pets, entertainment, pest control, 'turn' compost and also lay eggs. They have a big yard, huge coop, organic feed and lay on their own schedule- no added hours of light to encourage laying in winter. I used to eat 2-4 eggs a day at times and my…

Black bean spaghetti....25gm protein per serving. Seitan, tofu, legumes - most has been mentioned before. If not vegan - Greek yogurt has more protein than other yogurt.

Coffee, tea (green jasmine, peppermint, oolong mostly), iced tea all unsweetened. Water. Make aqua Fresca (often a combo of fruit, sometimes add mint or basil to fruit) when I don't want plain water. Occasional glass of red wine

I love their flax bread!!!! The only toast I buy..... Mostly eat artisan breads but when I want toast - this is it

I have to quote an old wise and only slightly sarcastic lady I know.... ' Eat poop - billions of flies can't be wrong' (She'd say that often when people just blindly followed or gave 'advice' about stupid stuff)

Oops - part of post disappeared....keep lots of fluids in reach, cut up veggies and some fruit for snacks. I read a lot, knitted, did crossword puzzles worked on computer and watched some tv for distraction. Good luck, you can do this!

Stick to your calorie goal as much as you can, don't under eat either. Your body needs fuel and protein to heal and function. You can lose or maintain without exercise..... I hated to be off my feet after foot surgery, I hope your surgery and recovery will be smooth! As someone commented before - you can do some lighter…

I did not have much hope that it would get better but after I lost most of the weight i wanted to lose the cellulite is barely noticeable. Did not exercise much other than walking

I can slip out of my boots without unzipping them..... Somehow didn't think that my calves would get slimmer...Now I am curious if I can get in when they're zipped up

I'm the only one eating vegan. But even before cutting out dairy and eggs from my already vegetarian lifestyle I learned to mostly stick to my own snacks/meals. Most 'treats' at work are too sweet now, processed or just not appealing anymore. Eating vegan makes it even easier to ignore food in the break room. I always have…

Thanks for posting this link...

If you cook at all or are willing to give some simple things a try......Cut up some veggies in chunks ( I like a lot of root veggies) like red or golden beets, turnips, carrots, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, chunks of onions, asparagus etc. drizzle a little olive oil and mix, put on a baking sheet. You can add herbs,…

Grilled peaches and grilled pineapple with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Avocado blended with good cocoa powder and a litte bit of honey or agave to sweeten- looks like chocolate pudding

Maintain and start a little exercise and yoga again

Refrigerator oatmeal, vary ingredients often. I can make a few mason jars in advance and don't care if it's breakfast, lunch or a snack.... I love SuperSeedz, mainly Cocoa (shelled roasted pumpkin seeds with cocoa but comes in other flavors too). An ounce is a quick and filling snack when I can't really take a break
-
Roasted vegetables/root vegetables..... Mist with a little bit of olive oil, add whatever seasoning and or onions, garlic and roast spread out on cookie sheet. Love roasted beets, turnips, carrots, cauliflower..... Sprinkle Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast on if you like. Good as side dish, snack

OR scrubs pretending to be some shade of?blue....... Went from wearing L to loose S but they're still ugly and often have little patches or defects..... At least I don't have to launder them! And I don't have to buy new sizes or worry what to wear at work

RN for almost 33 years..... Never obese but overweight at times. The extra pounds were hard on my not so perfect knees, some foot issues popped up, more lower back pain. Lost weight with MFP, actually more than initially planned. I'm back to the weight in my avatar but have to start exercising a bit more. Knees and back…

Best wishes for the New Year! Residency is busy, working long hours, irregular schedules is challenging. As OPs already mentioned- log everything to the best of your ability. Take it one day at a time. Try to bring easy snacks in small bags/containers with you.....in hospital you're often tempted to grab junk food in…

Used c25k in the past, will start again

I'll probably log, estimate as best as I can but I will have a drink or two, eat what I like. Not worried if I go over calories, it's one day. However..... I will not 'stuff' myself just because there will be treats. I don't want to feel bad because I eat or drink to much. I want to enjoy the holiday and the company and…

No disrespect but to clarify OP - several 'forms' of vegetarianism exist.... Vegetarians do not eat fish, poultry, beef, pork or any animal but can eat eggs and dairy - ovo-lacto vegetarians. Some do not eat eggs and/or dairy. Vegans do not eat any animal products including dairy, eggs, honey I have been vegetarian for 27…
