I love working out with my trainer! I have hired trainers before and they have all been mostly good experiences. Although, like mrp56839, I did have one trainer that put me through a cookie cutter workout, the same workout he put all his other clients through -- and required two a days. It was my first experience with a…

I love, love, love my FitBit HR. But, it is not 100% accurate. It doesn't record all my steps if I am on an elliptical and does not record miles on a bicycle, so if I get a few extra steps from moving my arms around, I feel like it all evens itself out. But, then again, the heart rate is really what is calculating calories…

I got in 6,745 steps and a 2 mile walk with a 20 minute core exercise video. I feel like that was pretty good today for me!

I was so busy yesterday I forgot to check in! I did a mile and half walk. The dog is limping, so I went without her yesterday. I think I will be solo for awhile as she is having some issues with her back hind leg (which when we rescued her she had had multiple surgeries on and her ball joint removed) -- I am suspecting…

Thank you, arsc02! Congrats on your 2lb drop, as well! We shall see what next week brings ... the first week always allows a big drop!! LOL But, results are results no matter what! I got a 3 mile walk in first thing this morning! It felt good to relax and watch the football games knowing I did a good round of exercising…

We have been here prepping for the football games and a house full of people so I didn't get much of a walk in but I did get a little walk in today. I only logged about 1.5 miles but it is 1.5 more miles than I would have walked otherwise!! =) At then end of today I logged about 3.5 miles with all the other stuff I had…

Logged in a 3 mile mostly "flat" walk today. I didn't do much of any other exercise but I will definitely need to see about doing something to scorch those cals that I am not burning walking the hills with the dog. So bummed she can't do the hills any more. But, we are still getting our treks in ... even if they are mostly…

Thanks, Jasminelipscomb! I had a bunch of them yesterday! I did walk today, 2.5 miles. But, when I took my doggie to the vet this afternoon, he did tell me I have to stop taking her on the hills! Apparently, her little leg (which had the ball joint from her right hip removed due things that happened before we rescued her)…

Good evening walking pals! I woke up this morning with a pinched nerve in my neck. I have been miserable all day. Of COURSE I made the decision to sit today out and rest until my neck felt better. This evening, it felt a lot better. I was back and forth, should I go? Should I skip it? It was almost dark and I thought,…

Good evening walking buddies! I did a 2.5 mile walk with my dog this afternoon. I have been a bit sore and haven't gotten all my steps in today (8,490) but I will work harder at it tomorrow. I am just going to keep on truckin' and see where it takes me. Hope you are all out having happy walking trails!

Well, we are having flooding around my area and it has been POURING down rain. It was a pretty soggy day but it did clear up (sort of) for a few moments and I took my dog out for a 2.25 mile walk this afternoon when it slowed to a drizzle. I will just keep on keepin' on! I haven't worked out in FOREVER and I am feeling all…

http://www.wikihow.com/Dehydrate-Bananas This recipe is for dehydrating bananas in your oven in case you do not have a food dehydrator (which you can usually find for right around $35-50 for a 5 rack inexpensive dehydrator). If you make them crispy you can grind them in your food processor as long as you have a fine grind…

I took my dog for a morning walk of 1.75 miles and then an evening walk for 1 mile. My fitbit says that I have gone 4 miles so far today (9,688 steps and 22 flights of stairs). I thought I would check in before I forget but I have a few hours yet before I will go to bed so maybe before then I will break at least 10,000…

I would like to join this challenge if it isn't too late! I walked 1.53 miles today in 30 minutes with my little dog. I am trying to get back into the groove and take off all the extra holiday weight (for both me and the dog!) and walking seemed like the best way to start so this challenge is perfect for us!

AMAZING! That workout is no joke! I started it last spring and got half way through it when I tore my right lateral meniscus (NOT from doing Insanity but from painting my stairwell and slipping on the stairs). I am working my way back to using my knee at full speed and I can't wait until I am healthy enough to finish it!…

I have never considered using to tools to strengthen my mental fortitude to complete my weight loss journey before now. I have always just concentrated on diet and exercise, nutrition, calories in versus calories out. But, I am employing some mental tools to keep my motivation, drive my willpower, strengthen my self-love…

I use a FitBit and I have tested my cal burn with a HR monitor ... BUT, I do 16 resistance (the highest mine goes) at a vigorous pace (getting close if not hitting my max HR) and those numbers are realistic for me (higher if I can really smoke that elliptical) ... but in general I have to adjust down. FitBit does NOT take…

I am 4' 11" and I eat roughly 1600- 2000 cals a day. I find that even on a day I do not exercise, if I drop my cals too low I will not lose ... I will eventually plateau. 1600 is about my sweet spot but if I workout really hard ... and do not add the extra cals ... I will find the scale to be very uncooperative! I am…

I don't know what your stats are but maybe you were under eating for your size and your calorie burn? Maybe your sweet spot is a little higher? For me, I find that I have to eat more than I thought (I am 4' 11" and 42 years old) and I need to eat between 1400 - 1800 cals before my body will consistently drop weight. I also…
