  • My boyfriend and I have discussed this in detail. First we would pay off all our debts, then our siblings and parents' debts. We would redo the house we currently live in (because we LOVE the neighborhood), and buy another house in Minnesota near my parents. We would buy and RV as well and travel around the U.S. Then we…
  • I started on 60 mg for 5 days and then decreased it by 5 mg every 5 days until I was down to 0mg (then I was done, obviously). I was kinda of scared when I started, but that is why the doctor did what he did (stepping it down), because he didn't want me on it long term (due to the possible horror stories that he did say…
  • Luckily I didn't have the weight gain effects, thank god! I know the doctor said to keep an eye on myself because it can happen.
  • Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Just out of curiousity, what was her true reasoning behind it being "lame"?
  • And I have to pee......
  • Check out Jim Beam - Jacob's Ghost. Smooth and yummy - on the rocks and it's a sipper. I am still working on the alcohol thing - 3 drinks and I am in the bag. The only days I have gone over are the days I do drink. I think it's something that I will have to learn how to even out as I lose weight.
  • I have the same issue - low sodium. Here the thread I asked a bit ago, and I thought I would share it with you. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1051266-any-ideas-how-to-even-out-a-high-sodium-diet Good luck. It isn't easy. My doctor has recommended Gatorade/Powerade - but they are high in carb/sugars so it does…
  • Don't get me started on pants. LOL I am 5'9", wear anywhere from a 20 - 24 (depending on the pant), have no butt, big tummy, and popeye calves. If I get them to fit one place, they don't fit another place (fit at the waist, but too short, etc) I have a few pair of women's jeans for cute shirts or to wear with cute shoes,…
  • I do the same thing - or have a mint or chew gum. I can't stand eating with minty tastes in my mouth. They also say that you should wait at least 30 minutes after brushing your teeth to eat - so that is a great time to get extra water in.
  • I know I am not Aussie, but also looking for friends and motivation. Feel free to add me.
  • ^^^This^^^ That is the best way to make me accountable for where I am at.
  • Just starting, so accept everyone. As time goes on, I will see how folks treat me. So far, I think my small brood of folks I have befriended on here are awesome!!
  • My boyfriend is one of my favorite shopping people - he is flat out honest with me because he knows what areas I HATE on me, and he will tell me when my tummy rubs the front of my shirt a little too much, etc..... OP - if 5 pounds that means so much to him, maybe he needs to seek counseling..........
  • I still have that mindset from my parents growing up - if it is there, and it can't be reheated, you better eat it. My boyfriend tells me it's ok to throw it away, but I feel like it is such a waste. That is one of my things I need to change in this journey.
  • Feel free to add me :)
  • Summer Sanitarium? I went to that in Minneapolis in 2003 - except Deftones didn't show and Mudvayne played. But to pic a favorite???.....Hmm, just saw Dokken and Quiet Riot on Saturday and did a good show - if we would have stuck around about 15 minutes longer I would have gotten to meet Sean McNabb and Don Dokken. UGH!!…
  • Ab fab!!! OMG - you both look sooooo much younger and healthier! Kudos!! I bet your son LOVED taking the current pic of you two!!! He has to be proud of you!!
  • Wish I coud give you some advice on this, but I have an opposite problem. Per the doctor, I have to have my sodium as high as I can possibly get it due to low blood pressure and dehydration problems. If you have only been doing this since July - and if that is the beginning of July - you should be right on track 1-2 lbs…

  • I am so keeping some clothes from now to try on down the road. Thank you for the great idea!! And good job, you look great!
  • Feel free to add me, as well as anyone else on the thread.
  • I didn't really have an idea of what my ideal weight would be, but I cannot remember the last time I was in ONEderland. I have been over 200 lbs since high school, and am in my 30's now. With my height and age, I should be at 180lbs on the larger end. I just chose 200 lbs since I don't know what I would look like at that…
  • You can add me, and anyone else in the thread can as well.
  • Some Birth Control can make you gain weight. I would check the side effects, plus if you had 2 in the past month with the new meds, your body may be regulating that as well.
  • Mine wasn't a final straw - it was a way to avoid the final straw. For a large and tall woman, I am fairly flexible. I have always been able to touch my toes. I was watching TV one day and just wanted to see if I could still touch my toes. I COULD. It was still pretty easy, but it hit me......what if I can't in 3 or 6…
  • That is bascially how I really started. I started by just "dancing like no one was watching" - turned on a music channel for 30+ minutes a few days a week. When I started feeling even better about getting sweaty, I found some exercise stuff on demand. My boyfriend mentioned that we have a Wii that was brand new and 2 years…
  • While physically possible, it will hurt you physically in other ways. I think your boyfriend needs to learn what "motivation" means.
  • Thanks everyone for the ideas and support!! We had a good conversation last night, and I guess it was also in how I was wording things. I guess I had said a few times, while measuring, "This is all I can have." I told him that I really meant, this is one serving. We are working together on this, and he understands that it…
  • Pujac, I so know where you are coming from. I am in the same boat. I posted a similar thread a couple weeks ago.... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1051266-any-ideas-how-to-even-out-a-high-sodium-diet I got some really good ideas from folks. The high sodium concept just floors some people, but there are those of us…
